Christmas in July Blog Hop AND a Giveaway!!
Welcome to Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop, hosted by Sarah of Confessions of a Fabric Addict. Thank you, Sarah! I have really enjoyed seeing what all the bloggers have created. Our summer has been so hot and humid (highs in the 90’s with feels like temps well over 100!) that thinking of Christmas and cooler weather has been a welcome change. Hopefully all the ideas will get us started on our Christmas projects. I NEVER seem to get mine started early, so this was my incentive!
I have created a pieced and appliqued table runner for you! This runner includes two pieced blocks that look like peppermint candies and three appliqued blocks consisting of a stocking, a Christmas tree, and Rudolph! So without further adieu, here is the picture.
And some alternative colorways here:
Unfortunately, I do not have it quilted yet, as I have a customer’s large quilt on Ms. Mattie, and she is not playing nicely at the moment. However, here is a photo of my flimsy!
It’s hard to see in this picture, but I love shiny, so I used Michael Miller’s Fairy Frost for the red and green pinwheel peppermint candy blocks, and a metallic white snowflake fabric for the background. I forgot to add the corner holly and leaves before I took this picture, so those will be added before the quilting takes place. The border fabric is actually crimson with gold metallic flecks. I apologize for the picture. I will take a better pic with the good camera when I get it quilted. In the meantime, I have completed (I think!) the pattern write up, and you can receive it free of charge until the end of the month. Just subscribe to my blog through the Rafflecopter form (if you are entering the give away) and leave a comment below. If you are already a subscriber, leave me a comment and I will email you the pattern. For those who are no-reply, please leave your email address along with your comment.
I promised a giveaway and here it is — a cute bundle of eight Christmas fat quarters!!
Sorry – this giveaway has ended!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Please take some time and visit the other bloggers in the hop. Many are giving away prizes as well! Here is the complete list! It’s not too late to go back and check them all out!
