July RSC and Table Scraps Challenge!

by | Jul 31, 2021 | 3 comments

After a busy week with no machine, I finally got her back and was able to catch up with my monthly challenges!

First, here is my Rainbow Scrap Challenge Crazy 8 block, along with a closeup of some of the stitches. I love these sewing related stitches!! The colors this month were blacks, browns, dark blues, basically darks! I don’t have a lot of browns in my stash as it is not one of my favorite colors, but I do like this Jenny Beyer fabric I found!

The Table Scraps Challenge was done using the darker colors, as well. It is one of my Calendar Quilts/Table Toppers that I’m working on finishing this year! I had a lot of fun with free motion quilting in the “sky” fabric and this was my first time doing piano key borders, but I love how they turned out. I do love ruler work!!

I hope you all are having a great weekend! That’s a wrap for this month. I’ll be back tomorrow with my PHD update and goals for August!

Today I’ll be linking up with the RSC21 Challenge at Super Scrappy and Joy at The Joyful Quilter!

I answer all comments via email. Please spread the love about my blog!

Super sweet entry for the July 2021 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge, Brenda. Fun block for the RSC, too!

I love them both! I’ve always loved scrappy quilt blocks.
