What starts on Monday should carry through to Friday; that is, enthusiasm. Have a great week!

HAPPY MONDAY!!! Yes, I’m screaming at you! Grab that cup of ambition and excitement and let’s GO forward with the week!
Let me share how my week went – or didn’t!!!
For the week of 10/16 -10/22/23:
- Get fabric for November IB project quilted and all pieces cut. I’m sure to be watching a lot of Annie’s videos! They are great! ✔ Done!!

- Get the outside completely sewn. ✘ Nope! I had forgotten how much prep is involved!
- Hopefully get the inside holders completed! ✘ Nope!
- Cut out a project to take to sew day on Wednesday. ✘ Nope! That didn’t happen either.
I did chase a squirrel though. I saw an ad from our county arts council for a class on batik pumpkins. I thought we would be making batik fabric to look like pumpkins so a friend and I signed up for it. Well, that was not the case! It was a painting using a “batik” method on canvas. Thought it wasn’t what I thought it would be, we had a great time and learned a lot using wax for resist just like is used in making batik fabrics! Here’s mine. I wasn’t thrilled with the outcome, but for my first time working with water colors, I guess it’s not terrible! LOL

So for this week, 10/23 – 10/29/23:
- See how much I can get completed on my November IB project.
- Whatever suits my fancy! I honestly don’t know what else, though hopefully I’ll get something ready for Wednesday sew day!
Here is a recap of our quilty friends’ shares from last week. There were some gorgeous projects linked up! As always if you want to learn more, check last week’s post for the links!
Please share your goals and accomplishments for the week! I really appreciate you all joining in this linky party!
Thanks for your visit and joining in the fun today. I’ll be joining in my favorite linky parties as they come open -> those over in the side bar!! I hope you all have a wonderful, quilty week! Until next time…
Love your little batik experiment!
Oh my , your watercolor painting is gorgeous, Brenda; how interesting to see the textures in it. Woo Hoo for chasing the squirrel even if it was not what you thought it was. It is fun to try something different. Have a great week. Hugs.
Your pumpkin piece is really wonderful and imagine learning something new too. I used to teach crayon resist painting in school and the students loved the process and the surprising end results.
Looks great Brenda! That had to be a surprise when you found out what you were actually doing in the class. I bet you both had fun!
I think your batik pumpkins look terrific. Did you have pumpkins to actually look at while doing them or did you have to imagine them? I’m not much of a drawer so I’m in awe!
Hi Brenda! Well, some weeks are just like that. Good for you for trying a new class. The pumpkins turned out fabulous. Here’s to an enthusiastic and productive week. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
I think your watercolor pumpkins look great! Have a wonderful week Brenda. 🙂
