Welcome back to Monday Musings and my weekly to-do list!! I don’t have a lot I can show, but I have been busy!!
List for 12/12/22 – 12/18/22:
- Get at least one pattern written for the secret sewing, hopefully both, so they can be tested. ✔ – partially…adding the finishing touches. And, I’ve been testing the blocks to make sure my math was correct. The quilty math on one of them had me stumped for a hot minute, but the fog finally lifted! LOL
- Start cutting out pieces for that quilt, or maybe both quilts?? ✔ – partially Since I was having so much fun (NOT!!!) with that quilty math, I decided to cut the other one and that is done and ready to start piecing today!! YAY! Here is a sneak peek. I am working with colors of fabric outside my wheelhouse and I am loving it!! Yes, I chose these lines intentionally to broaden my color palette!
- Anything else there is time for!?? ✘ Nope – my fried brain had all it could handle this week!
Now on to this week’s list for 12/19 – 12/25:
- Piece the quilt that is cut out!
- Prepare for Christmas with my family!
- Mount Christmas cross stitch for display.
- That’s enough for the week, but IF there is extra time and I get the flimsy together for above quilt, I will cut out second quilt…we’ll see!
Let’s take a look at the link up posts from last week! Please check last week’s Monday Musings (12/12/22) for the links to each of these!
Now it’s your time to share what you’re working on or have finished!
It will be a busy week for everyone, I’m sure. Enjoy your week and keep the stress as low as possible. We often allow the hustle and bustle of the season to stress us out to the point we don’t enjoy it. It always helps me to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. I have always enjoyed looking at Christmas lights. Now I view them with a different perspective than when I was a child. I am reminded of the Source of all light…the true Reason for the Season!
Do you enjoy quilt math?? Thanks for visiting! I’ll be linking up with my favorite linky parties found in the side bar! ⇒ Until next time I wish you joyful Christmas blessings!
I hope you got your quilty math figured out! Love that pile of cuttings. 😀
You host such a nice linky party, I’m looking forward to linking up more with you on Mondays. 🙂 Thank you for sharing with us at To Do Tuesday!
I hear you Brenda on the quilt math issue. Love the peek at your next quilt project. Merry Christmas to you and all your family. ❄️?☃️
I’ve been trying to work outside my comfort zone as far as colors too. It’s fun!
Merry Christmas! Enjoy your time with the family; I hope that you’ll have a peaceful and happy time together. Math is a challenge for many quilters, but I’m a weirdo who actually enjoys it.
Quilty math is a challenge. Feel free to hit me up if you ever want some help figuring or checking something. I won’t always make something, but am happy to help you work through it. Love what I am seeing there….good luck with your week. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Hi Brenda! Ahh, quilty math get me quite often. It’s best to take your time and double-check it. That is going to be beautiful – it has to be with that color palette. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Enjoy the time together! Thanks so much for the linky party today. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
