Hello and welcome back to see the finish of Tiny Dancer!! This quilt has been over two years in the making and I’m so glad it’s finally completed! Yesterday was Miss M’s 14th birthday and I was sewing the binding and label on and I’m so happy I was able to get it finished on her birthday!! She won’t get to see the finish as she is at a dance competition over in Georgia this weekend! It will be waiting for her Monday when they come to the house after school and wait for their dad to get home. Our daughter is an adjunct professor at the University of Montevallo and supervises the Speech Clinic on Mondays and Wednesday…in addition to her full-time job as a Speech Language Pathologist at our city school system. Between their jobs and these three kiddos, they are constantly on the go, and wear me out!! LOL at any rate, here is Tiny Dancer!
Tiny Dancer Quilt Stats:
Size: 83 x 97 inches
Fabric: Pearl Ballet by Kanvas Studio/Benartex, and Moda White. I don’t remember the name of the backing, but it is a wide back that M also chose.
AccuQuilt Dies: Tangled Star, Rising Star, and strip dies.
Batting: Quilter’s Dream 80/20.
Pieced with Aurifil 50 wt. light gray thread, using an 80/20 Schmetz needle.
Quilted with Magnifico 50 wt. white, and Bottom Line 60 wt. silver in the bobbin, both by Superior Threads. The motif used was Nouveau Clam 2, from Intelligent Quilting.
And here is the label. I digitized the silhouette of the ballerina and created the label using my Bernina Artista Software, then stitched it out on Sally Solaris!
This is one finish I’m glad to have in the books! Now all three of the kids have their big bed quilts! LOL The boys still love their panda and tiger quilts I made them a couple of years ago. Here they are.
That’s all for now! Hope you are having a great quilty weekend! Until next time…
It sounds like you indeed stay on your toes with all that is going on, Brenda. Tiny Dancer is fabulous and I adore the boys’ quilts too. How darling.
That is truly gorgeous!
Gorgeous finish, Brenda! Thanks for sharing.
