Monday forecast: 99% chance of coffee, with scattered sarcasm throughout the day ⛈️☕🤣

Happy Monday morning everyone. Welcome to Monday Musings. I hope you all had a great week and got a lot of fun stitching time in. It was a busy and frustrating at times for me, but we got through it! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 5/10/26- 5/17/26:
- Work on stitching Ginger, the newest Highland Heifer. DONE!! She’s another cutie with her pink rain boots. I love her chicken friend too!
- Finish quilting Sunshine Cove center medallion. DONE!! It took quite a while to get it finished, but I love how it turned out. Sorry no pic just yet. I’ll have one for you when I finish the center scene.
- Cut appliques and begin stitching the center scene for the medallion. DONE!! I got the background, stabilizer, and flannel stitched together, put it in the hoop to begin stitching, and realized, after stitching the clouds and placement for two trees, that I had reversed the design instead of rotating it. Soooo, I had to make another background and sandwich it, but I’m not too mad, because I learned a few things making the first that I actually did for the second and it turned out much more to my liking.
- Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! We had some nice porch and coffee time Saturday morning, which was fun. We haven’t been able to do that in a while – always something else going on!
Plans for the week of 5/18- 5/25/26:
- Finish stitching the center scene and attach it to the center medallion.
- Trim the blocks to size for the quilt.
- Start quilting the sashing.
- Hopefully make hanging sleeves for my quilts for the show next month.
- Hopefully start working on Daisy, the next Highland Heifer!
- Whatever suits my fancy!

While I’m sorry you had to start over, I’m glad your first effort on center medallion applique helped you make adjustments when you start again. Have a wonderful week!
You are really moving along on your Highland cows. Ginger is so cute. And, yes, her chicken is great too. I like how you stitched the tail feathers. I haven’t done much hand stitching and my snowmen aren’t happy! Have wonderful week.
Ginger is adorable! Have a great week. 😄
Ginger is the cutest cow I have ever seen;) Love your Monday forecast!
