Why, yes, I could start my day without coffee. But I like being able to remember things like how to say words and put on pants. – Nanea Hoffman ☕

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. Mine was busy but good and I got most of my goals accomplished, but not everything! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 5/12- 5/18/25:
- Make binding and bind youth quilt. NOPE!! Did not get that done. You know…the best laid plans…LOL In reality I put it on the back burner since Sunday we honored our high school and kindergarten graduates, so I decided to wait until the 25th to bring it.
- Finish May IB Irish Chain challenge project. DONE!! I will be posting it after this post, so check it out!
- Go watch my boy’s performance Thurday night. DONE!! Well, actually, we went on Friday so he would have family there for both performances. His mom, dad, bubba and sister went Thursday night, and us and the MeeMaw went on Friday night. After the performance, we met his girlfriend, who is almost as tall as he is, and then took him home. He was supposed to have swim tryouts with M on Friday, but couldn’t make it because of the play. They did The Sound of Music and everyone did such an awesome job. There are some very talented young folk in his theater class. This one was a big production and 6th, 7th, and 8th grades were all in it.
- Whatever cranks my tractor! My tractor was dead the rest of the week as that Irish Chain quilt kept me busy. Plus with the storms we had a power outage Saturday morning for most of the morning and then Sunday morning as I was showering for church between 5:30 and 6:00 AM, the weather radio went off again, so I quickly got out of the shower (thankfully I was almost finished!) and we had a couple of flickers as I was finishing getting ready. I’m ready for some sunshine!!
Plans for the week of 5/19 – 5/25/25:
- Make binding and bind the youth fundraiser quilt.
- Gather materials and hopefully start on my June IB project. Next month we are making a Funky Friends Factory stuffed animal. I’ll be making a dolphin.

- Work on some secret sewing and pattern writing.
- Sewing Day with friends, maybe?
- Whatever suits my fancy.

It sounds like the performance was fabulous. It is time for all of the wrap up activities for the school year. I hope you are having a great week, Brenda. Hugs
Thanks Brenda! Have a fabulous week.
Hi Brenda, I’m glad that you had a good week, despite the weather! I’m heading over to see your Irish Chain. Thanks for the linking party 🙂
Hi Brenda. Sounds like you had another fun packed week. Isn’t it wonderful to share the grand’s special moments with them? Glad you finished your IB project. Now I’m off to check out your post. Thank you for hosting us again. 🤗 Carol
Lots of fun going on there besides quilting! I’m looking forward to your dolphin…
Spring weather rules right now, doesn’t it? We are getting storms near us but little rain, and rain is what we need. Then the wind blows and dries up the little that we got. Hope your week is a little quieter!
