Conquer the day with coffee in hand and courage in heart ☕️🌟

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. We’ve had a few, at least partial, bright, bright sun-shiny days (as the song goes!) I’ve been so busy having fun custom quilting Sedona Starburst and other than helping cart around kiddos one day, that’s literally ALL I’ve done! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 6/16- 6/22/25:
- Sewing Day with friends! I think I’ll be trying my hand at EPP. NOPE!! I had a last minute call Tuesday night asking for help with the kiddos so that was my Wednesday. But, I will try again this week!
- Decide how I want to quilt Sedona Starburst, which is on the frame. DONE!! I literally spent hours trying to decide how to quilt this, looking through all my books and finally just went in the cave and let the quilt tell me what it wanted, and finally it started coming together. I am having so much fun trying new things with rulers and free motion. I’m even having fun TRYING to quilt blocks that are sideways and upside down!!!! I will share a couple here for you.
- Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! As I stated above, other than helping cart kiddos that was it!
Plans for the week of 6/23 – 6/29/25:
- Sew Day on Wednesday. I have my EPP papers drawn out and will take some scraps with me to Sew Day. I hope to have something to show you next week!
- Finish quilting Sedona Starburst. I have one more row and one border to complete.
- Whatever cranks my tractor! The kiddos have a busy week with tennis matches and swim meets and make ups for both, so I’m sure I’ll get some road time in! LOL We will see what else I can get into!
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!

Hi Brenda, please link up your progress with your Starburst quilt – we’d love to have you join the party! Best of luck doing some EPP – that’s the only thing I did this week!
The sneak peek at Sedona Starburst looks awesome , Brenda. Deciding how to quilt blocks sometimes is hard for me. Have a wonderful time with the grandkiddos; they grow up way too fast. Hugs
Hi Brenda, Thanks for sharing some awesome sewing and quilting projects! Have a great week quilting on all of your new projects!
Like Linda, I look forward to seeing how you quilted the Sedona Starburst quilt. Thanks for the chance to join your weekly party. Blessings!
Sorry you missed your day trying EPP….you are such dedicated and helpful grandparents. It is good for everyone!
Thanks Brenda! Have a great week.
We’ve been taking turns helping with chauffeur duties with grandkids too. Grandpa left the house at 6:30 this morning to take girls to swim team practice, and then take them home. I like your weekly attitude of working on “whatever” pops up. Great attitude!
So you are back to carting kiddos around! I’m sure if we lived closer to Jenni (she’s 60 miles away) we’d be doing the same. I look forward to seeing what your quilt told you about quilting it. 😉
