Monday Musings 6/16/25

by | Jun 16, 2025 | 7 comments

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. It’s been another week of rain here in the south…just about every day. I love hearing the rain and low rolling thunder when trying to sleep. BUT, I’m ready for some sun-shiny days! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!

Here’s how my story ended for the week of 6/9- 6/15/25:

  • Work on some test designs for Denise. DONE!! These are so cute. I hope you are joining in her FREE Sew Along. If you don’t do machine embroidery, she will have applique patterns as well.
  • Try to get one quilt on the frame. DONE!! “Sedona Starburst” is on the frame!
  • Possible guild meeting today, depending on the storms we are expecting and how achy my joints are. NOPE!! It was stormy, achy Monday for me.
  • Maybe another Sew Day on Wednesday. We are expecting rain and storms most of the week, so we shall see. NOPE!! Same as above.
  • Whatever cranks my tractor! DONE!! I spent a lot of time looking through quilting books trying to decide how to quilt the quilt on the frame. Decisions, decisions!!

Plans for the week of 6/16 – 6/22/25:

  • Sewing Day with friends! I think I’ll be trying my hand at EPP.
  • Decide how I want to quilt Sedona Starburst, which is on the frame. One large border is done and stitched in the ditch on the second small inner border. Now to decide on how to quilt the blocks and the center medallion. Currently the plan is to do all free motion and ruler work on this one.
  • Whatever suits my fancy.

Thanks to everyone who linked up! If you want to know more about any of these, go to last week’s post and click through the links there.

Our rainy season has started too; rain every day, so we have to get the dog walks in between showers. I want to go to the pool, but haven’t gotten there yet because of the rain. Have a great week!

The rainy season seems to drag on and on, and we will be begging for it next month! I forgot, is Sedona Starburst your quilt or a customer quilt? Hope you have a wonderful week!

Oh it has been a soggy weekend here too. So little (almost zero) inclination to go into work today. Looks like our Dolphins are related 🙂 This was such a fun project.

Brenda I’m sorry to read you’ve been achy, but I’m jealous of your rain. It’s been so hot here already, but it looks like we have rain in our forecast for a few day. The blocks you did for Denise are just too cute. Thank you for hosting us all. Hope you have another great list and thank you in advance for linking with and for sharing To Do Tuesday. 🤗 Carol

Thanks, Carol. Unfortunately as I get older my joints can really tell a change in the barometric pressure. Have a great week.
