Here we go with a new month, a new color challenge, and a new block pattern! All of this fun is brought to you by Jen at Patterns by Jen! This month Jen chose blueberries for our food color inspiration! I just love blueberries! I remember as a child going to pick wild ones in the woods. Now my grands go pick them at farms – but at least they get to pick their own. They realize where they come from and that they just don’t magically appear in the grocery store! Not quite the same adventure as battling critters in the woods, but an adventure nonetheless! Without further ado, here is my November block! I love this blue grunge!!

I also love blueberry muffins and I found an easy recipe for them on Food Network, courtesy of Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa! Check it out if you’d like. They have some other great blueberry recipes as well.
Now head on over to PBJ and pick up the free block pattern this month. It is available in 12 inch and 6 inch sizes. Jen has lots of tips and even a video if you need the help! And don’t forget to link up your block with her at the end of the month. There are some great prizes to be won!! My friend Roseanne who blogs at Home Sewn by Us is one of the featured bloggers this month. Go check out her post from November 1st. You can find the complete list of November bloggers on Jen’s website! I’m sure they would love to have you stop by for a visit!
I hope you all have a week filled with awesome!!
Hi Brenda! Aww, aren’t you just the sweetest?!! I LOVE YOUR BLOCK. Why, or why, do I not own every Grunge color??!! This is just the perfect color/fabric combination, IMO. Your quilt top is going to r.o.c.k. when you put all these fabulous blocks together. And you will do so, soon, right?! Only one more block to make for the year. Yowza. How did that happen? Thanks for the recipe link – who doesn’t love Ina?!! {{Hugs}} Happy Thursday! ~smile~ Roseanne
The grunge fabrics sure give it a unique look!
