We had the grandloves yesterday, so I failed to write my update until today!! School starts here on Wednesday, so that will mean back to car line to get the boys and take them to their mom. My daughter is an SLP with the school system and her office is at a different school, so I just take them to her in the afternoons. Miss M is at the same school, so I get to see them all every day except Friday when DH is off work and he picks them up. I can’t believe the summer has gone so quickly! It seems they just got out of school!
Oh well, here goes my update from last week:
- Finish quilting mini and create blog post. ✔ DONE – see my previous post for details on Hugs and Bow-Tie Kisses.

- Post Block 1 of Sit n Sew Sampler. ✘ – nope, but I did get another block written up. It will come soon if you want to join along with us!
- Start on National Sewing Month project. ✔ DONE – Got some applique cut out. You’ll have to wait until 9/1 to see it!
- Start on September Island Batik project. ✔ DONE – I am having loads of fun with Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design Corner Beam ruler! We have an Island Batik Blog Hop coming up using a collection from the spring and summer lines. I’m using Bee Kind! Love it!

- IF time permits – whatever suits my fancy!! ✔ DONE – if you count hanging out with the grands for three of the last seven days – I count that as fun and definitely suited my fancy!!
For this next week, my plans are:
- Start stitching up my Get on Board with Sewing Blog Hop project.
- Continue working on September’s Island Batik Blog Hop project.
- Write next block of Sit n Sew Sampler and hopefully get block one posted. Please join me for this easy, AccuQuilt friendly sew along!
- Whatever suits my fancy!!
That’s all for today! I’m linking up with Linda at The Texas Quilt Gal for To-Do Tuesday and Joy at Days Filled with Joy for Monday This and That, and probably a few more of my favorite linky parties! Until next time, keep on stitchin’ and grinnin’!!

What a beautiful mini quilt!
Beautiful Hugs and Bow-Tie Kisses quilt! So glad you get to see the grands often – they will have wonderful memories of you.
Thank you for joining with us at To Do Tuesday!
I had my grand last night and we had fun chasing and playing peek-a-boo. At 9 months there isn’t a lot we can do, but we still have fun! Good luck with your list this week!
You did a lot last week! Glad you had such a wonderful week with the grandies, so nice to be able to spend time with family. Thanks for linking up with Monday This and That and I hope you have a great week! xx
