Let’s Begin our SAHRR 2024!

by | Jan 15, 2024 | 17 comments

Welcome to the first post for the 2024 Stay At Home Round Robin! If you would like additional information, please see THIS POST.

The prompt for today is to choose your center block. It can be any size you like – even an orphan block (or two!!) I played around in EQ8 and created my center block using a bird and spool, kind of like my logo! My center block measure 12.5 x 18.5. Your block can be any size you like. There are no rules…and no quilt police!!! I am using left overs from my Island Batik projects over the past couple of years. Make yours scrappy or use coordinating fabrics. It’s entirely up to you!

Once you decide on your center block, you are done for this week! Write your post, or snap an instagram pic, and head over to GAIL’s BLOG for the linky party.

Next, visit each of the co-hosts and take a look at their center blocks.

January 15: Gail will host the first linky party … for you to show your center block … but you’ll have to visit each of the SAHRR co-host bloggers to see their center blocks
January 22: 1st Round:   Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
January 29: 2nd Round:   Anja @ Anja Quilts
February 5: 3rd Round:  Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
February 12: 4th Round:  Brenda @ Songbird Designs THAT’s ME!!
February 19: 5th Round: Gail @ Quilting Gail
February 26: 6th Round:  Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing
March 18:Parade: showing all of your finished SAHRRs!

We reached out to several companies that we all LOVE and many of them agreed to sponsor the SAHRR 2024!!! We will keep track of all of the participants that link to our Linky parties each week. We will make a list and use a random number generator to choose the winners for each prize! So, if you link up to 3 Linky parties, you will have 3 opportunities to win! If you don’t have a blog or Instagram account, contact me, or one of the other co-hosts and we will post your SAHRR on our blog. This way you still have an opportunity to win!

Now it’s time to head over to Gail’s Blog and link up so you will be eligible for the prizes! Thanks for joining us. I will see you next week!

I’m joining in again this year, and have no less than four orphan blocks to put together for the centre. I really like the one you designed, and so cool how it is similar to your logo!
