We want to do a lot of stuff; we’re not in great shape. We didn’t get a good night’s sleep. We’re a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup. – Jerry Seinfeld ☕️😜

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! Well, our bipolar weather has kicked in again. Nice one week, cold the next, almost sweaty the next and the cycle goes on. This week we are COLD!! In my mind and according to my body, anything below 50 degrees is cold! LOL If it’s cold where you are…y’all stay warm and toasty and keep on stitching! Now let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 1/5 – 1/11/26:
- Make backing for Quilt #2 and get it quilted. DONE!!
- Make backing for Quilt #3 and get it quilted. DONE!!
- Bind all three quilts and send them on their merry way to California for catalog photographs. PARTIALLY!! Two are done, the third has the binding sewn on and working on sewing it down by hand. The other two were machine stitched. Here are a few pics of the back quilting with a peek of the front of the quilt. Can’t give too much away just yet!!
- Begin work on my SAHRR quilt (see below for info!) DONE!! Come by Wednesday for that post and the kick off to the SAHRR.
- Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Saturday, despite the drizzle, we celebrated the boys’ birthday. The birthday person always picks where they want to go and they decided on Olive Garden. We had a fantastic server and she gave them the dessert of their choice and even wrote their names and Happy Birthday on the plate! I thought that was extra special!

Plans for the week of 1/12/25 – 1/18/26:
- Finish hand-binding quilt #3 and send them to California for a photo shoot.
- SAHRR center block.
- Guild meeting Monday.
- Sew with Friends on Wednesday.
- Start working on Sunshine Cove Block 12.
- Whatever cranks my tractor!
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!

Hi Brenda, we’ve been having the same weather I think. It looks like you had a productive and fun week. Thanks for the linking party!
Aaah great photo of the birthday boys! They grow up way too fast. Olive Garden sounds like a wonderful choice. Stay warm and cozy this week as you check off your list , Brenda. Hugs.
Sounds like a great week – the cold – you stay inside and stitch, the warm… well you can Crank your tractor haha!! Love it!!!
You did great with your list last week! Yes the temps are fluctuating here too and windy which makes it feel colder. As of today we are going back into the 70s. Hope you have another great sewing week.
You had a great week last week. Here’s wishing you have another one this week.
Thanks, Bonnie! I hope so too! We shall see. Have a great week.
And away we go!!! Glad you are nearly done with catalog quilts and onto SAHRR!
Well done Brenda with almost all 3 of those quilts done! The boys are growing so fast. It’s wonderful you are able to celebrate birthdays with them. Thank you for hosting us all and for sharing your posts on To Do Tuesday.
