Another Monday, another cup of magic potion ☕🔮
Happy Monday morning everyone!! Welcome to Monday Musings. I am SEW happy that our weather is cooling off some. But, as usual, we drop 20-30 degrees overnight, it seems. At least that was what happened this week. We got home Thursday night and the highs were around 90. Friday night a cool front came through and we had lows in the 50s, which we haven’t seen since May, I think?? Anyway, Saturday we actually had to turn on some heat in the house to take the chill off. This week we are supposed to have highs in the 70s and maybe hit 80 one day…perfect weather!! What have you guys been up to this week? I’ll catch you up on the happenings in my studio and then please share what is going on in your world! Thanks for being here! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 10/12/26- 10/18/26:
- Enjoy being with family. DONE!! Had a great visit with my brothers and sisters-in-love, and a niece. We gathered a lot of info on the extended family as well.
- Maybe when I get home I’ll cut out October’s Marigold Mystery blocks. We’ll see. NOPE!! Unfortunately, the two days we spent driving up and back home riled up my right sciatic nerve and it’s been a painful weekend. Hopefully it gets better soon. Naproxen and my heating pad have been my friend! 😂 I really don’t want to have to get injections for it as I have in the past.
- Whatever suits my fancy!! DONE!! Due to the sciatica, all I’ve done is watch college football and catch up on some shows we taped while gone. College football was crazy Saturday! The number 1 and 2 teams lost, number 3 narrowly won in double overtime (unfortunately!!), one of my two teams lost – Alabama to our third Saturday in October rival, Tennessee, but Auburn beat Georgia, who, due to some questionable calls and non-calls, beat us last week, so that made me happy! Overall a really crazy weekend!
Plans for the week of 10/19- 10/25/26:
- Cut out and hopefully make the Marigold Mystery blocks.
- Maybe start another project? We shall see how the sciatica goes. My brain is full of things I want to do but my old body doesn’t always oblige!
- Whatever cranks my tractor!
