Happy Monday morning everyone. Welcome to Monday Musings. How’s your week been? I hope y’all had a great one, and got a lot of fun stitching time in. It’s been so hot here, staying inside and stitching has been the best thing to do! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 7/6/26- 7/12/26:
- Finish cutting out my project for Connie’s Feather & Flare Blog Hop and hopefully get started stitching it together. DONE!! Here is a photo of one of the blocks! This is part of Connie’s new signature line Feather & Flare! I love this deep teal color.
- Get another set of RSC blocks done?? NOPE!! I did NOT! And, I probably won’t this week either!
- Continue working on Elsie and hopefully finish her up and start the next one! Can you tell I LOVE these cows??!!! DONE!! Here is a photo of her finish!
- Whatever suits my fancy!! DONE!! Not a lot except ordering some fabric and playing in EQ8. This was not one of my most motivated weeks. I think my SewJo MoJo has heat exhaustion!! But, in all honesty, we had some kiddo and zoo duty this week. My DD and Miss M went for a tour of Auburn University, as well as their School of Pharmacy, so for two days, we carted the boys to where they needed to be, B to tennis and D to swim and physical therapy, and fed them! But, I’m not complaining as we got to spend time with them. When they become teenagers, they are soooo busy!
Plans for the week of 7/13- 7/19/26:
- Start on the next Highland Heifer – Ruby.
- If time, I’ll stitch some more blocks for the Feather & Flare project.
- Keeping the list very short this week as we are heading to the Gulf with some friends to enjoy some great, fresh, Gulf Coast seafood!
- Whatever cranks my tractor!

Did Miss M like her look at Auburn? My Dad and one of my brothers were both pharmacists. It’s a noble profession! 🙂 That teal block is beautiful. And Elsie is adorable! I look forward to seeing Ruby (my sweet Mommy’s name.) Enjoy your trip to the Gulf!
Awww, thanks, Linda. Ruby was my aunt’s name, whom I dearly loved, though everyone called her Pete! I have no idea where that came from! LOL Yes, I think she’s set on Auburn, though I would like for her to at least visit another few schools. From what I hear Ole Miss has a a great Pre-Med/Pre-Pharm program too and offered Gary’s boss’s son a lot more than he was getting at Auburn. We shall see, but I really believe she will be an Aubie girl! All I can say is Roll Tide! LOL Thankfully, she’s not a football fan, though Gary is an Aubie too. We are a house divided! LOL
