I’ll tell you why the chicken crossed the road…they had coffee there! ☕️🐔🍗☕️

Happy Monday morning everyone. Welcome to Monday Musings. Happy National Fried Chicken Day!! Who knew there was such a day? I guess there’s a day for just about everything! How’s your week been? I hope y’all had a great one, and a great 4th of July for my friends who celebrated…and got a lot of fun stitching time in. It’s been so hot here, staying inside and stitching has been the best thing to do! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 6/29/26- 7/5/26:
- Finish Americana Sampler and get it mounted and in the frame. We went to Michael’s Saturday and found what I needed to finish it. DONE!! I just love how this turned out! You who know me, know I love bling, so instead of French knots for the berries and stars I added some Austrian crystals. Here is the photo before mounting and framing and after. It’s easier to see the bling without the frame! Click the photos for a full view!
- Work on RSC blocks. NOPE!! I did NOT! Maybe this week!
- Start on the next Highland Heifer – Elsie. DONE!! I have everything fused down and stitching has begun.
- Clean and organize a little more in the studio. DONE!! A little was done. Still much more to do!
- Write the QuiltFest post. DONE!! You can view that HERE in case you missed it.
- Whatever cranks my tractor! DONE!! I went to Sew Day Wednesday and got some HRTs cut for a secret sewing project for my friend Connie of Freemotion by the River. It will be part of her blog hop in August for her latest signature line of fabric with Island Batik, Feather & Flare.
Plans for the week of 7/6- 7/12/26:
- Finish cutting out my project for Connie’s Feather & Flare Blog Hop and hopefully get started stitching it together.
- Get another set of RSC blocks done??
- Continue working on Elsie and hopefully finish her up and start the next one! Can you tell I LOVE these cows??!!!
- Whatever suits my fancy!!
