Monday Musings 9/8/25

by | Sep 8, 2025 | 9 comments

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a great week. I’m happy to say I’m slowly getting back to normal, at least not feeling so tired and am able to sit up! That’s a plus. We are supposed to have a cool down this week and I’m really looking forward to it. When I had my followup MD appointment Friday it was in the 90s with a lot of humidity. Not fun!! We have to leave our house around 7:40 to be at church for a run-through of the songs we will do for worship and when I stepped out on the porch, it was soooo pleasant! I look forward to fall and those cooler days! Thank you all for indulging my lack of sewjo-mojo as I recuperated from whatever this was! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!

Since I didn’t have goals for last week, I’m carrying over from week before last! Here’s how my story ended for the week of 8/25- 9/1/25: I can’t say they were good, but I did get a little bit accomplished!

  • Get the big RWB quilt on the frame! NOPE!! I did not…again! LOL
  • Begin working on my ByAnnie’s Bag for the October IB challenge. DONE!! I’ve been slowly working on it as I felt like it. I would say I’m about 3/4’s of the way finished.
  • Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Not a lot, mostly in my recliner taking it easy.

Plans for the week of 9/8- 9/14/25:

  • Write blog post for this month’s Island Batik Threaded Chaos Blog Hop. Today is my day. So check out my next post!
  • Continue working on ByAnnie’s Bag for October IB challenge.
  • Continue with writing a pattern.
  • Maybe…get that quilt loaded on the frame?!
  • Whatever cranks my tractor!

Thanks to everyone who linked up! If you want to know more about any of these, click through the links in the last Monday Musings post.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. It is a bit cooler here too, and hoping that impels me to sew more!

Sometimes reacquainting ourselves with a recliner is goal enough. Hope you return to your normal self soon.

Good to hear that you are on the mend. It’s ok not to go 100% every day. It makes sense to slow down and take it easy, especially when you aren’t feel well. We had one day of humidity and 90s. It was in the 50’s when I got up. And the humidity has dropped dramatically. Nice weather to venture outside for a while.

I’m so sorry you were sick but glad you are getting better. It’s nice to enjoy a taste of fall-ish weather, isn’t it? Hope you have a much better week this week. As Mom and Granny would say, take care so you don’t relapse!

Hi Brenda, We are experiencing some nice weather with temperatures in the 60’s. Tonight we are supposed to get down in the 40’s. While the 60’s are nice, I am not ready for the 40’s yet! A little further north of us they are supposed to get down in the 30’s, and I am definitely not ready for those temps! Sounds like you are moving along with all of your projects.
    Have a great week!
