Now that we’ve added all our rounds, and hopefully gotten our flimsies quilted, it’s time for a PARADE!! And not just any parade, it’s the Stay at Home Round Robin Parade! Today’s parade is hosted by Gail of Quilting Gail.
I have really enjoyed seeing everyone’s quilt come to life following and interpreting the prompts the co-hosts have given. It has been SEW much fun!! Our quilting community certainly has an abundance of wonderfully talented quilters! In case you missed a clue, and still would like to make a quilt, you can find the prompts for each round on the co-hosts blogs!
January 13 | Everyone shares their center blocks | Gail @ Quilting Gail |
January 20 | Round 1 | Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing |
January 27 | Round 2 | Anja @ Anja Quilts |
February 3 | Round 3 | Gail @ Quilting Gail |
February 10 | Round 4 | Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life |
February 17 | Round 5 | Brenda @ Songbird Designs THAT’s ME! |
February 24 | Round 6 | Emily @ The Darling Dogwood |
March 24 | IT’s A PARADE! | Everyone shows their finish! |
I really love how this turned out. In the beginning, I honestly had NO clue how I would add the rounds each co-host had provided. I only knew I wanted the center block to be the Cubes in a Cube block and that I wanted to use Island Batik solids. Finally inspiration struck and I just kept going! It’s great when a plan comes together! LOL
Now without further ado, here is my completed SAHRR 2025. I had a lot of fun playing with ruler work and using Pro-Stitcher for the plain blocks. I fell in love with this motif which is called “Let it Bloom” Block 3 from the Christies (mom/daughter team) at My Creative Stitches. I used Hobbs Thermore batting, which I think gave the quilting nice definition. It was pieced with Aurifil 50 wt thread and a Schmetz 80/12 needle, which are my go-to products for piecing quilts. I love these Island Batik solids which include: Fuchsia, light grey, black, red, aqua, purple, lime, pink and cobalt, with white for the background and backing.
Don’t Forget the Prizes!!
We reached out to several companies that we all LOVE and many of them agreed to sponsor the SAHRR 2025!!! We have kept track of all of the participants that linked to our Linky Parties each week. We have made a list and will use a random number generator to choose the winners for each prize! So, if you linked up to 3 Linky Parties, you will have 3 opportunities to win!
