June’s Favorite Finish!

by | Jun 30, 2026 | 4 comments

I haven’t posted a favorite finish since February, well, because I haven’t had one! LOL This finish has been a long time coming. I started this quilt back in 2020 and worked fairly steadily on it until I became an Island Batik ambassador in 2022. The past four years Island Batik has kept me busy…but in a good and challenging way…and this project was put on the back burner.

As a part of my UFO list for 2026, I really wanted to get this quilt finished. I have worked on it steadily right up until the night before it needed to be carried to the site to be hung for our QuiltFest 2026. I am SEW happy to have this one finished and in the books!

So here is Peaceful Village at Sunshine Cove. I really love this quilt.

I’m so happy this quilt is finished and I even won a first place ribbon for it! That really made me smile!

Thanks for visiting. I will be linking up with Yvonne of Quilting Jet Girl for June’s Favorite Finish Linky party! Until next time…

I can see why you really love your Peaceful Village at Sunshine Cove finish; it’s beautiful! Congratulations not just on the finish and ribbon, but for consistently working on it and through the challenges you faced in order to have it ready to be on display. Well worth it. Thanks for linking up with Favorite Quilt Finish, too. 🙂

Hi Brenda, I can’t imagine how many hours your magnificent quilt took, but it must have been in the thousands! It is truly phenomenal!
