Pouring over the day’s agenda with a cuppa brain juice! ☕️🗓️

Happy Monday morning everyone. Welcome to Monday Musings! Other than a few cloudy days and drizzle, our weather has been great here! We were able to get out Monday and find us a new gas stove. It should be delivered and installed this week and the old one gone, gone, gone!! If it’s cold where you are…y’all stay warm and toasty and stitch on! Hopefully that groundhog was wrong about six more weeks of winter. We have daffodils popping up, and that’s always a sign of spring here! But if there is more cold…we can spend our days quilting! Now let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 2/8/26- 2/15/26:
- Continue working on SAHRR. Time to work on Round Five! DONE!! Check back Wednesday to see my interpretation of the prompt for this round.
- Get fence rail appliques on the sides of Block 12. PARTIALLY!! I have one side finished with three more to go! It takes about an entire afternoon to get these little applique pieces in place and stitched down!

- Sew with friends on Wednesday hopefully. DONE!! We had a really good therapy session and I worked on my plastic canvas Christmas Barn!
- Whatever cranks my tractor! Got the new stove, and celebrated another trip around the sun on Saturday. Chicken Legs cooked a steak and baked potato for our dinner and he also made breakfast! He’s the best! I also made a couple of pair of lace earrings. The purple hearts I have a photo of. The red hearts I gave away. We went to dinner on Friday and the young lady who took our order loved them, so I took them off and gave them to her! When her shift ended we were still there, so she came over and chatted with me for a while. She was very sweet and really loved the earrings!
Plans for the week of 2/16 – 2/22/26:
- Continue working on SAHRR.
- Continue adding sides and front gate to Sunshine Cove Block 12.
- Whatever suits my fancy.
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!
Thanks to everyone who linked up! If you want to know more about any of these, click through the links in the last Monday Musings post.
Now it’s your turn to link up projects you’re working on!

We are almost at the end of SAHRR 2026!! Check out my post this Wednesday for how I interpreted the fifth prompt by Gail! Here is a schedule for when we will post. Be sure to link up your block with the host for this week, beginning on Wednesday, so you will be eligible for prizes. This is so much fun and I just love seeing everyone’s interpretations of the prompts!
There will be one linky party each week. The person hosting for the week will host the party, but each co-host will also provide a link to that blog for you.

What a kind gesture in giving the earrings to your server. <3 The world needs more people like you! Thanks for the chance to share in your party.
A successful week — kudos to you. What a kind act you did by giving the server the red earrings. Both sets are wonderful. And, I’m sure she will enjoy them. (Note to self — do I want to try to make some earrings via embroidery?) It sounds like you had a nice birthday. I loved Carol Burnett and her show. Thanks for the memory. Enjoy your week.
Thanks, Bonnie! It was a fairly good week. You should give them a try. I found these files on Etsy. Could I have digitized them? Yes, but why re-invent the wheel! Have a great week.
Happy belated birthday, Brenda! How sweet of you to gift those earrings to your waitress. The world is a better place because you’re in it!
Happy belated birthday!! I’m excited to see what your prompt is this week for SAHRR.
Hi Brenda, Thanks for sharing all of those inspiring quilts! Loved the fueled coffee cartoon! Happy Belated Birthday!!
