March’s Rainbow Scrap Challenge color is RED. Since red is not one of my favorite colors, though I do like it for certain projects, I found I didn’t have a lot of red scraps. I did manage to get enough together for the challenge this month. Most of the fabrics I found had orangy-reds that almost looked brown, but I used a few of them anyway! I do love a true blue-red red and burgundy, so I counted the burgundies too!
Now to my blocks for the RSC.
My version of the RSC will include snowball and the 9-patch blocks. I decided not to put a dark grey solid in the center of this month’s 9-patch as I did in the January and February 9-patch blocks, but probably will the remainder of the blocks depending on the amount of scraps I have for each color. The center block in the 9-patch has some dark grey in it and I loved the stars so decided to use it instead for this month’s block. Here are my two blocks for March. I did get all the blocks trimmed and up on my design wall! My blocks are 12 inches finished.
I really am pleased with how these came out. Here are my two months blocks.

I will be linking up with Angela at So Scrappy for Scrap Happy Saturday!
Until next time…

I am glad you had enough fabric to make your blocks, I think all the variations in the red work well in them!
