I don’t rise and shine…I caffeinate and hope for the best! ☕️😊

Happy Monday morning everyone. Welcome to Monday Musings! Wow, another Monday rolls around. Let’s look it as a new start for whatever we need to accomplish. Our weather has been wonderful this past week – highs in the 70s and one day we hit 80. I love this winter! I think the wooly worms this past fall were striped like an Oreo cookie – dark on the ends and light in the middle. At least that is an old wive’s tale about how wooly worms predict winter here in the south. Now let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 2/16/26- 2/22/26:
- Continue working on SAHRR. DONE!! Stay tuned Wednesday for the final flimsy reveal along with prompt six.
- Continue adding sides and front gate to Sunshine Cove Block 12. DONE!! I even got the quilting completed!! Here is a photo. The grunge is called Little Black Dress. It looks blue on the right side because of the lighting in the room.

- Whatever suits my fancy. DONE!! Not a lot extra. I lost one of my contacts and have been having to wear an old one, so I was able to get in to my optometrist on Thursday for a new exam and ordering new contacts! Other than that it was a quiet week.
Plans for the week of 2/23 – 3/1/26:
- Get center of Block 12 completed and add to block.
- Hopefully Sew Day on Wednesday.
- Our dear GD is being inducted into the National Honor Society on the 25th, the day after her 17th birthday, so hopefully it won’t be raining and I can go to that. That campus is so huge I will have to take my power chair.
- NEW PROJECT ALERT!! Begin cutting out and stitching the first block of Highland Heifers! I just love this BOM. It is adorable!

- Whatever cranks my tractor!
Here is some quilty inspiration shared last week!
Thanks to everyone who linked up! If you want to know more about any of these, click through the links in the last Monday Musings post.
Now it’s your turn to link up projects you’re working on!

We are at the end of SAHRR 2026!! Check out my post this Wednesday for how I interpreted the sixth prompt by Anja! Here is a schedule for when we will post. Be sure to link up your block with the host for this week, beginning on Wednesday, so you will be eligible for prizes. This is so much fun and I just love seeing everyone’s interpretations of the prompts!
There will be one linky party each week. The person hosting for the week will host the party, but each co-host will also provide a link to that blog for you.

I had my coffee, and am writing this before dinner but what a day! Resewed a hundred seams….well not that many but I am not happy about that. Can’t wait to see your blocks on Wednesday!
You had me at Heifers!! How adorable is that!! I look forward to watching your progress!!
I had to go check out all those cows. That’s going to be a wonderful quilt when finished. I’m looking forward to seeing them as you finish them. Good luck!
Aren’t they adorable? I think it will make a great quilt! This is my first larger wool project, so I hope I can make them look good!
I love those Highland Cows! Have fun stitching them, Brenda.
