Happy Monday morning everyone. Welcome to Monday Musings! Wow, another Monday rolls around…along with a new month! Happy March and Happy National Quilting Month! March is the official beginning of our tornado season, but we had one touch down last week about an hour from us. Thankfully it was a small one and no one was injured but there was some damage. This March is coming in like a lamb, so it will be interesting to see if it will go out like a lion, though I hope it will not be a bad season for us. We are expecting well above normal temps for the next few weeks, so we shall see. I hope you all had a wonderful week. Now let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 2/23/26- 3/1/26:
- Get center of Block 12 completed and add to block. DONE!! Check out my previous post for all the details on this gorgeous block, along with the 11 other Sunshine Cove blocks.
- Hopefully Sew Day on Wednesday. NOPE! I had forgotten our girlie and her honey were being inducted into the National Honor Society on Wednesday and we didn’t get finished in time. See photo below.
- Our dear GD is being inducted into the National Honor Society on the 25th, the day after her 17th birthday, so hopefully it won’t be raining and I can go to that. That campus is so huge I will have to take my power chair.
- NEW PROJECT ALERT!! Begin cutting out and stitching the first block of Highland Heifers! I just love this BOM. It is adorable! DONE!! I have the pieces of Heat-n-Bond Lite ironed onto the wool (except for one booboo I made and am waiting for another piece of wool for it.
- Whatever cranks my tractor! DONE!! I cut out my blocks for March RSC but did not get them stitched yet, so I won’t be joining in this month’s linky party. We also gathered all the tax documents and sat down Saturday and got that task over with! YAY
Plans for the week of 3/2- 3/8/26:
- Cut out appliques for block 1 Highland Heifers.
- Find some fabric to back my SAHRR 2026 quilt and maybe get it on the longarm.
- Write pattern for Tilt-a-Whirl.
- Finalize pattern for Dancing Shadows.
- Whatever suits my fancy.
