Monday survival kit: coffee, coffee, and more coffee ☕️🛠

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. It’s been hot and humid and the possibility of storms and rain just about every day. Such is summer in the south! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 6/23- 6/29/25:
- Sew Day on Wednesday. I have my EPP papers drawn out and will take some scraps with me to Sew Day. I hope to have something to show you next week! DONE!! I have no clue really what I’m doing as this is a first for me, but here are the few pieces I stitched.

- Finish quilting Sedona Starburst. I have one more row and one border to complete. DONE!! It is quilted and bound. I will be able to show this to you in the fall! Here are two more blocks to show you though! I love how this turned out!
- Whatever cranks my tractor! DONE!! I spent a day or so planning my August IB project and doing some digitizing for it. Staying cool was definitely on the radar!
Plans for the week of 6/30 – 7/6/25:
- Sewing Day with friends, Wednesday! Continue the EPP. I sold my travel machine so I need to get out my other small machine and see if it is in good working order. If not I’ll continue with EPP and maybe computer projects!
- Test those designs for my August IB project.
- I received my boxes from Island Batik for the projects for the remainder of the year, so I need to get those photographed and a slide show made for the unboxing video.
- Whatever suits my fancy.

Beautiful quilting!!
Your quilting on the Sedona Starburst is gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the whole thing.
Hi Brenda. Your Sedona Starburst looks intriguing and I do love those fabrics. Your EPP looks like fun. I’m enjoying handwork right now, especially working with hexies. Then there’s crumb blocks which became addicting. Thank you for hosting us all on Monday Musings. I always enjoy my visit with you and I’ll thank you in advance for linking with ToDo Tuesday.
Thanks, Carol! Have fun with your handwork. I am going to have to try some crumb blocks one day!
Your quilting is beautiful! I’m excited to see the quilt when you’re able to share it. Have a great week.
Sedona Sunset looks to be another awesome quilt from you….can’t wait to see it! Have a fabulous week.
The quilting on Sedona Starburst looks stellar Brenda! I love the look of orange peel – did it on an IB quilt once, and now I’m thinking why don’t I do it more? 🙂
Sounds like you have a busy week ahead of you, Brenda. I look forward to seeing the final reveal of Sedona Starburst. It is looking spectacular from the sneak peek. Hugs.
Aww, thanks, Melisa! I hope you have a wonderful week!
Sounds like a good week for you. Your quilting looks fabulous — at least what we can see. I’m looking forward to the whole thing. Do you have a computer on your long arm that you spend hours of time setting up all the details or do you spend hours hand guiding all of your beautiful designs. (Note — I only use a computerized edge to edge and preferably one that isn’t complicated! So either way you quilt I’m in awe!)
shew you had a busy but fun week!! Whatever cranks your tractor ! I LOVE that!!! haha
Thank you for the shoutout.
You finally got to sew day, yay!! Your quilting on Sedona Sunburst is gorgeous!
Your custom quilting is beautiful, Brenda!!! I’m looking forward to it!!!
I can’t wait to see your Sedona Starburst! The sneak peek block looks gorgeous. I’m supposed to start on Christmas Stars tomorrow, but as my year-long America 250 QAL. I do have fabrics pulled, so I hope I can do a bit on it this week.
