QuiltFest 2026

by | Jul 3, 2026 | 7 comments

As promised, I wanted to share some of great inspiration and talent that our guild displayed at QuiltFest this year. QuiltFest is the Birmingham Quilters Guild biennial quilt show. Enjoy!!

These were the three entries in the wearables division.

Our guild is very involved in the state chapter for Quilts of Valor. These are some of the ones on display at the show. I don’t remember how many there were, but there were a lot!

And finally, I leave you with Chicken Legs posing with the Opportunity Quilt for this year! The guild set up several props and there were a lot of people taking photos with the quilt using them!

I hope you were inspired from something in this post. Now go…do things! Until next time…

What a nice big space for a quilt show, it looks so inviting! Love those quilt jackets – on my bucket list. Chicken Legs looks right at home – lol!

It’s the best place we’ve found so far. We outgrew the school gym a few years ago and tried one other civic center, but it was too small and the lighting was terrible. This one is working well. Yes, Chicken Legs is a nut!

Aaw what a wonderful quilt show, Brenda. Your quilt guild must be very active. Does your hubby enjoy going to the shows with you like mine does? I think it is so wonderful that he is supportive of you. Thank you for sharing the beautiful entries. I wish I could have come to see them in person. Happy 4th! Hugs.

Thanks, Melisa! He is very supportive Melisa. This is the first show he’s attended, because he wouldn’t let me take my chair and go alone, but he and M enjoyed hanging out. That made it A-OK for him! Loves his baby girl! He doesn’t mind tagging along with me to a quilt store either, so that’s another Big +++! I wish you could have traveled down to see us. I think you would have enjoyed it.
