Behind every successful Monday stands a substantial amount of coffee ☕️🎓

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. It’s always great to meet up with friends on Mondays and throughout the week, visiting blogs. I wish I could say it was cool enough to wear a jacket here – like these little guys, but man, oh man, the heat has been sweltering, as my Mama used to say! We are in the midst of the “dog days” of summer here in the south. We have had temps in the mid to upper 90s and “feels like” temps up to 107-110. I say that’s a great time to stay in and sew. Thankfully, it’s supposed to be a bit cooler this week. YAY!! I hope y’all are staying cool! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 7/28- 8/3/25:
- Continue working on September IB challenge. DONE!! I am about one third of the way finished!
- Write a post showing the last box of goodies we received from Island Batik this week. DONE!! I will post this later this week.
- Whatever suits my fancy. Not much done except trying to stay cool.
Plans for the week of 7/28 – 8/3/25:
- Continue working on Crazy Quilt for September IB challenge.
- Post August’s IB challenge. Come back Wednesday for that!
- Still trying to get that quilt on the frame that needs quilting soon. So I will try again!
- Whatever cranks my tractor!

Hi Brenda. Sorry to hear that it’s so hot there. It’s actually cooled a bit here and we have had some rain (and thunderstorms and a few lightning strikes starting more wildfires). I’m looking forward to seeing your next IB projects. Hope your leg is better now and you are managing to stay cooler in your studio. Thank you for another fun Linky party.
It’s a little cooler now, thankfully. Heat and humidity — such is summer in the south! LOL Have a great day.
Well its Tuesday, but happy week to you and good luck on your work this week. I actually loaded something on the frame…yipee!
Thanks Brenda! Stay cool and have a wonderful week.
I must admit I laugh over all of your coffee oriented memes. I dislike coffee but I drink tea hot or cold all year round. So I mentally add tea to your postings! Glad you are making forward progress on you IB project.
Looking forward to seeing your IB challenge projects. Lol on the Dory meme, that’s me for sure! I hope to get a post done today, if I do I’ll link up.
Happy Monday, Brenda. We had a mild weekend with the highs in the 70’s which was so nice. I am hoping this week will be just as pleasant- fingers crossed. Looks like you have a good list of goals to work on for the week. Enjoy checking them off. Hugs
Thank you dear Melisa! It has been nicer here this week, thankfully! Have a great weekend! Hugs.
