Welcome to Round Two of the Stay At Home Round Robin! This round is prompted by Anja of Anja Quilts. The prompt for today is half-square triangles (HSTs)! Interpret that any way you would like and link up on Anja’s Blog before next Monday!
Here are my HSTs! Don’t you just love that aqua/teal fabric? It’s an Island Batik solid, along with the white.

I used the eight-at-a-time method of making these 3-1/2″ unfinished HSTs, also known as the Magic 8 method. To do that I cut a square of blue fabric and a square of white fabric 8″ in size. On the back of the white, I drew diagonal lines from corner to corner. Then with right sides together I sewed a scant 1/4″ seam on both sides of the drawn lines as shown below. Next, I cut on the drawn lines and also left to right and top to bottom of the square. Then, using a Bloc Loc tool, I trimmed to 3-1/2″. A rotating mat is helpful for this. Easy peasy, and quick too!

Here I show trimming the HSTs and finished.
And here is my quilt thus far!

Now it’s time for you to make your Round Two blocks and link up with Anja at Anja Quilts, as she is hosting this round!! Remember you interpret each prompt and it’s placement as YOU see fit! There are no quilting/designing police in this SAHRR!! My blocks will mostly be four inches but some will be other sizes. It’s all up to you! Make one block or make a row, or even a border!
If you don’t have a blog you can link up an Instagram post as well to be eligible for one of the many prizes that will be given away.
Visit each of the co-hosts and take a look at their interpretations of this round.

Brenda, I thought I commented before, but I guess not? Anyhow, I love your SAHRR so far. I am so glad I finally joined in as it’s been fun! What took me so long? LOL!! I might even join again next year if it is still going to be happening that is.
I love where you are going with this. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
It is so interesting to see the different interpretations for the SAHRR quilts. <3 Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
Hi Brenda, I like that bold splash of teal in there. I used the 8 HST method this week and it worked out so well. Have a great week!
This is getting better and better. I love it 🙂
Pretty colors!
So unique. Your quilt top is looking fabulous.
This is so good!!
Very fun! Now you’ve got me to thinking about another way to use triangles!
Oh, I love this! The added pop of that teal is so good!
Very striking!!! I look forward to seeing your future rounds!!!
Very creative way to use those HSTs. I’m still working on my round #1 plan, so I’m falling behind already. LOL
That is looking super cool!!!
That is a beautiful aqua, your blocks look great!
Looking good Brenda! Heads up: Anj’s blog when I click on it for the rnd 2 says that page does not exist, so I don’t think she published it and I wouldn’t know anything about the rnd 2, except for you and a few other blogs who have posted their rnd 2 already. ~Daryl
