Coffee is a cup of hope in a world full of chaos and Mondays!

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I am very happy to say that our snow/ice did not materialize here! However, LA (that’s what we call lower Alabama) is a different story! The Gulf Coast from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle received record breaking snow! One Alabama coastal town received eight inches! The largest snow fall in LA since 1895! They were pretty much shut down for three days. I hope this polar vortex is over for a while. Now, on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 1/20 – 1/26/25:
- Work on round two of SAHRR and post. DONE!! See my next post!
- MD appointment Tuesday, weather permitting. DONE!! This was a new doctor because our former doc retired and doggone if he isn’t leaving his practice at the end of March. Guess we will see what happens as the year progresses.
- Do unboxing video/slide show for Island Batik. DONE!! I will post later in the week. I’m tweaking a few things.
- Begin working on February Island Batik Challenge. NOPE! But I do have a plan…I think!
- Whatever suits my fancy! Nothing else this week.
Plans for the week of 1/27 – 2/2/25:
- Add finishing touches to unboxing video and post.
- Work on round three of SAHRR. I hope you are joining us! Here is mine so far with round one added.

- Begin working on February Island Batik Blog Hop challenge.
- Whatever cranks my tractor! LOL

Hi Brenda, I hope your doctor’s appointment went well last Friday. Sorry to hear that your doctor is retiring. We are not looking forward to the day that out doctor retires. He is our age and has cut back on his hours and days that he works, but hopefully, will keep practicing with these changes for a long time. Thanks for sharing pictures of all of these magnificent quilts! Have a great week and hope you are feeling a lot better this week, and that your new doctor works out for you.
I’m also hoping that the polar vortex stays up North where it belongs. We had between 1-2″ of snow last week. No problems; we just stayed at home.
Sounds like you had a great week. Sorry to hear about your doctor retiring. That happened to my hubby and he’s seeing a PA now. He is ridiculously healthy so it works. Looking forward to seeing how your SAHRR evolves. Stay warm!
