Hi everyone! It’s been a minute since I made a blog post, actually my last To Do Tuesday, two weeks ago, to be exact! I’ve had a lot of fun and did a little stitching during that time! So here was my list from 3/22.
- I gave myself two weeks because we are headed to the Gulf next week to eat seafood, visit quilt shops, and just have fun! – √ DONE – We ate fresh seafood every day and had a great time, though at one point we were under a tornado warning!!
- Pack for trip. – √ DONE – and now unpacked!
- Make it to a quilt shop and purchase binding to bind those quilts! – √ DONE And I got my SAHRR quilt bound! It was a windy, but pretty day for this pic. And our leaves are filling in all too well. Pollen, pollen everywhere!!

- Work on Block 11 of Sunshine Cove. – √ DONE – Here is the first hooping. Looking forward to finishing this border and starting on the center!

- Start work on my quilt for the May Island Batik Blog Hop. – √ DONE – Though I can’t show you right now, I have four blocks completed. I can tell you it involves curves and points! LOL
- Since last week was so much fun, let’s go with “whatever suits my fancy” again – especially since I’ll be out of town part of the time. – √ DONE I did a little more designing on the fundraiser quilt and received the fabric for it. I also visited a great quilt shop on the coast.
We had a great time and since we got back, I did get a little bit of stitching done. The Saturday before we left, Gail of Quilting Gail, hosted a Zoom Island Batik sew day. It was good to “see” everyone and get a couple of blocks done before vacay.
For the week of 4/5/22 – 4/11/22:
- Continue working on project for the May Island Batik Blog Hop.
- Cut out fabric for fundraiser quilt.
- Quilt comfort quilt and take to guild meeting next Monday.
- Whatever suits my fancy!!

My OMG for April is to get the fundraiser quilt cut out and pieced! Hopefully quilted, but at least pieced!! Here is the design of one of the blocks.

I didn’t check off a lot on my Task List, but I did complete some starts on my Tally Sheet!!

Very pretty projects. I know we’re supposed to be focusing on our PHD projects, but at least you finished up a few starts! Surely that counts for something. Keep going on your PHD. Looking good!
Your vacation sounds lovely! Welcome back to blogland! Love your Sunshine Cove…look forward to seeing all this work you have going on.
So glad to hear that you had a great time on your vacation. Doing whatever takes your fancy sounds fun and relaxing! Block 2 of tour sunshine quilt is lovely and colorfu! Have a great week working on your fun raising quilt and blog hop.
Sounds like an exciting trip with that tornado warning! What kind of seafood did you eat? Oh my goodness your SAHRR is gorgeous!
Thank you for linking up with To Do Tuesday!
Hi Brenda! I’m so glad you had a nice vacation and even more that you didn’t encounter the tornado. Other than that, it sounds like just the ticket with fresh seafood and quilt shops. I could get into some of that for sure. Yippee to seeing block 11 and your completed finished SAHRR! It is amazing to me that while the prompts are all different and out of left field sometimes, you quilt top came together and is very cohesive. Happy Wednesday to you. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
