Welcome to the first day of Sarah’s 12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop! Today, I will be sharing with you some of my favorite Christmas quilts, and some great Christmas gifts you can make and share with family and friends!
As some of you may know, in addition to being a quilter, I also digitize embroidery designs. I love incorporating embroidery designs with quilts! One of my favorite projects from Christmases past is this table runner/mantle cloth with these adorable in-the-hoop appliqued owls. If you are interested, you can find them here. I took my test stitcheries and made quilt blocks of them. Aren’t they adorable?
It’s a bit hard to see the individual blocks with the kiddos’ stocking in front, but here they are!
Next up is one of my Christmas table runners – this is the Whimsical Christmas Table Runner. It goes on my table every Christmas since I’ve made it! There is a digital download pattern for it, if you are interested, and you can find it here.
Christmas Gifts
One of my favorite things to make for gifts are bowl cozies. These are so easy to make! Grab a layer cake or cut some 10″ squares from your favorite 100% cotton fabric, some 100% cotton thread, and a 10″ square of 100% cotton batting. Here is a great tutorial that I used to make my cozies. You can make them seasonal or just for everyday as I did.
Another great gift to give is a mug rug. I have a lot of mug rug in-the-hoop patterns in my shop. Here are a few for different occasions.
And don’t forget, seasonal dish towels make great hostess gifts!
And one last fun project for Christmas – stockings! Here is the patchwork stocking I made last November for one of my Island Batik projects. I love this!!
Thank you for joining me on the first day of Sarah’s 12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop! Please let Sarah know how much you appreciate her pulling this fun hop together. You can find her at Confessions of a Fabric Addict! Until next time…
Thanks sew much for sharing all the ideas.
