My goal for March was to complete a quilt to raffle for our Haiti mission trip. When I started on the project I realized I did not have enough fabric to complete it! So, I ordered some fabric for the HST’s from Hancock’s of Paducah. Have you ever had the opportunity to visit that store? I have been once and wow, oh wow!! I brought home lots of fabric – but then again, it was a trip to a fabric store! LOL OK, back to my monthly goal! My fabric finally arrived and I was able to cut out my HSTs in record time with my AccuQuilt Go! BIG!, which you can read about here, if you’d like.
Since it took longer than I anticipated to get the rest of the fabric I needed, and we had a family trip planned, unfortunately, I did not get to finish my goal, so I will continue that as my goal for April! I did get several blocks stitched together though! Here are a couple of them. I can’t wait to get this finished up!
If you need batting, Connecting Threads has up to 30% off through April, as is wide backing! And cute, spring-y fat quarters!!
Linking April 3rd with Elm Street Quilts for my April One Monthly Goal! And, with Freemotion by the River for Linky Tuesday!
Very nice! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.
Thanks, Patty! and thanks for hosting! It helps give me just the push I need to finish up those projects!
Hi Brenda, I love your fabrics! They are beautiful. Hope you have a great time in Haiti!
Hi Gail! Thanks for stopping by. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go with the church, so that is why I’m making this, to help raise money for those who are able.
Beautiful blocks – are those batiks? I love a crisp white as a background color! 🙂
Hi Patricia! Yes, they are batiks (my absolute favorite!) The large squares are from three different packs of 10″ squares I’ve been admiring in my stash, and the green and background fabrics are yardage from Island Batiks fabrics! Thanks for stopping by!
What pretty fabrics! I’m looking forward to seeing the whole quilt at the end of this month.
Thanks, Marly! So am I!!
Beautiful fabrics! I was able to visit Hancock’s of Paducah years ago and what a neat store. The AccuQuilt GO! really makes it easy to cut HSTs!
It is so cool! Mary Jo’s in Gastonia, NC reminds me of it but on a smaller scale!
Pretty fabrics. I love quilting for charities also. Thanks for the heads-up about Connecting Threads’ sale.
Thank you, Danice – and you are welcome!
