Greetings everyone!! I have finished the Little Princess’ aka Baby’s travel and storage bag! YAY! And, it is just in time to take to our guild QOV sew day next Tuesday. I am so happy and so in love with this bag! Instead of waiting to my regular Monday Musings post, I just had to take time to share it with you now!
The pattern I used is The Stitcher’s Suitcase from ByAnnie.com. Annie writes the best instructions and the add-on videos she makes to go along with the different projects makes a world of difference.

There is a set of bags, Feathered Friends, that she made to fit perfectly inside the suitcase to hold the foot pedal, feet, and various supplies. I did purchase that pattern also and will get around to making them a little later on. But for now, one of my Stitchin’ Sisters, from our group that meets on Wednesdays for sew day, gave us a set of zipper bags for Christmas and they will work perfectly for now to hold all of Baby’s little goodies. It also has a cover I will make for the bed, though when I got her maintenance done a couple of months ago, he added a rubber stopper that will keep the plate from getting scratched when it is not in use. So here we go with some photos.
You may recall from when I started this, I used three fabrics for this project, one from Tula Pink’s Floral Reef (Ultraviolet) for the main fabric and two from Tula’s Untamed collection, the multi-colored houndstooth for the lining, and the green check for the accent fabric.
First I quilted the main fabric and lining, cut out and labeled all the “parts,” made the zippers and bindings, and fused SF101 to the parts that needed fusible added.

Next, I made all the components per Annie’s wonderful instructions. Sorry, I did not get photos of them as I was making them!
Then the fun came in putting it all together. And this is how it turned out.
My binding is definitely not perfect and I spent a little time with Jackie the Ripper trying to get it right, but I am sew very pleased with how this turned out. I am a huge fan of Tula Pink and honestly, I am thinking now of renaming Little Princess Baby to Tula! What do you think??
This has been my preoccupation for the past couple of weeks and now I am ready to move on to new adventures in stitching. I hope you loved seeing this bag as much as I have loved making it. Have a great rest of your week! Until next time…

Brenda, your Tula bag is beautiful!!! I’m sure that “Tula” will not mind her name change! Thanks for linking to TGIFF!
Oh, the bag turned out beautifully! I don’t think you can go wrong with Tula prints and the ones you chose coordinate together perfectly. I vote for renaming to Tula! 🙂
Hi Brenda, congrats on your Tula bag. It’s gorgeous. May it bring you happy stitches!
This is a wonderful make. So pretty 🙂
You did an amazing job with it!! The green accent fabric looks wonderful. Tula would a lovely nickname.

Wow Brenda, that is beautiful! What a great way to carry your Featherweight to places. Love it!
Oh that’s a pretty bag – I love those fabrics! Yes on the Tula name. 😀
Thanks, Linda! I have definitely decided to call her Tula!
Great bag, Brenda! So pretty too! Is it easy to carry or a bit heavy or awkward? I prefer a rolling on wheels bag for a machine as it’s getting harder to lift and carry heavy things. Blogger has been weird and I hadn’t any posts in my Reading List for nearly a week, so I contacted them and told them and now it’s fixed, but I missed so much, I am playing catch up now.
Oh my , how precious! I love the colors that you chose for the stitcher’s suitcase. I can see why you are super excited ; you did an amazing job, Brenda!
Thank you so much, Melisa! I really do love it!
