The countdown is OVER and National Sew A Jelly Roll Day is here!! Do you have plans to sew a jelly roll project today?
There are so many great patterns that use precut strips. You can make placemats, quilts, bags, you name it. Every fabric company seems to have a different name for their 2-1/2″ strips. I made these placemats using a pack of Island Batik 2-1/2″ strips and some yardage. .

And this bag using strips as well.

Fat Quarter Shop is having a sale on jelly rolls HERE. They also have several free patterns including the Jelly Roll Twist that you can find HERE!
An easy way to make a quick quilt is to sew three strips together and cut them into 6-1/2″ squares to make a Rail Fence block. I’ve done that before too!
I don’t know what your plans are for Sewing a Jelly Roll Day, but you can google Jelly Roll patterns and you will fine SEW many free patterns from which to choose. Whatever you do…or even if you don’t, enjoy your day. After all it is a Saturday and what a great way to celebrate National Sewing Month by Sewing a Jelly Roll!!!! Until next time…
