Plumb Tickled Pink!

by | Feb 15, 2022 | 27 comments

Welcome to my day on the Tickled Pink Blog Hop, hosted by Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks!! Our directive for this hop was to create something with the color pink in it somewhere, or make it about being tickled, or pink, or because it’s the month of love – anything that tickles us pink!! Well, since yesterday was my birthday, I’m just tickled pink about still being here and not pushing up pink daisies somewhere! LOL But don’t worry, that’s not where my tickled pink story ends! For many of the blog hops this year, I have decided to make mug rugs, mini quilts or table toppers/mats.

To this end, my project is my Quilted Heart mug rug. Since I am blessed with being an Island Batik ambassador this year, and my first project was using a new line of basics called Precious Pink gradations, I happened to have some left overs from my January project using this line. So I digitized a new in-the-hoop mug rug just for this project and stitched it up pretty quickly, tweaking the design as I tested it! Here’s my project! This was completed totally in the hoop, including quilting, except for the binding. And is a free download here on my website and also on Payhip. I would like to thank Island Batik for these beautiful fabrics and Schmetz needles for the needles I used in piecing and quilting. I also used a left over piece of poly batting from my Row by Row Challenge that was provided by Hobbs. Thank you!

This was a fun project. Here are a couple of my other “pink” projects!

Pink Fans Forever, my first Island Batik challenge. You can read about that here.
February Calendar QuiltTable mat. Excuse the wrinkles – it’s been in storage!

I’m sure there are others but these were most handy! Thanks so much for stopping by. Please visit my fellow bloggers on the hop today and leave them a nice comment. We all LOVE to read your comments!

Good morning Brenda. This little mug mat would be the perfect Valentine gift, combo. a little like a card, with a functional purpose. I love the plummy pink.
The three pink projects project a lot of love. Thanks. If I could figure out how to use my embroidery function, I’d love to download this project, but alas, it is still beyond me
