Monday Musings 11/4/24

by | Nov 4, 2024 | 10 comments

Happy Monday morning everyone!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I hope you had a great week. Did your kids/grandkids get a lot of candy last week? My three all went in different directions this year, for the first time! The boys each went with different friends and the girl went with her honey. They are growing up too fast! On to the good stuff!!

My sweet kiddos

Here’s how my story ended for the week of 10/28 – 11/3/24:

  • Finish my Dresden quilt for next month’s blog hop! DONE!! Photos taken and ready to write the post!
  • Sewing day on Tuesday this week. Nope! Car had to go to shop for estimate (see below!)
  • Work on second ByAnnie’s bag. Nope! Maybe this week!?
  • Stitch down, trim and bind the pot holder. DONE!!
  • Whatever suits my fancy! Well, it didn’t suit my fancy at all, but Monday my girlie and I were in a fender bender going from school to the Y for swim. We were stopped at a traffic light and one of the high school students plowed into us and pushed us into the car in front. As of right now, the estimate on my car is around $8400! The car in front was not messed up as I had my foot on the break when we were hit. Thankfully my daughter was at that traffic light coming from her office to meet me at the Y and she scooted over and hung around until Chicken Legs could get there. My shoulder and neck were a little sore and M’s knee was bruised, which she didn’t notice for a couple of days, but thankful no one was injured badly.

My plans for the week of 11/4 – 11/10/24:

  • Sewing with Friends on Wednesday hopefully.
  • Work on Gnome for Thanksgiving blog hop project.
  • Maybe work on second ByAnnie’s bag.
  • Whatever suits my fancy!

I am glad you both were not hurt worse, but how scary anyway!! Your potholder turned out very pretty especially in those colors. I have the same pattern laying on my desk to make some holiday ones as gifts.

Well darn, so sorry about the fender bender, glad no one was seriously hurt. Isn’t it amazing how the $ sure add up fast on those things. I hope you get to go sew with your buddies this week.

Oof those fender benders are such a shock to the system – so glad you and your granddaughter are OK! Your kiddos look so cute in their Halloween duds! What is the pattern for your pot holder? It’s so pretty.
