I don’t know about you, but I am thankful to see another Monday! We’ve had a bit of a rough week with family emergencies, a machine break down, and weather! Thankfully, the weather that was expected here, skirted just to the north of us about 30-40 miles or so and we got very little wind and rain. The machine (my very first Bernina – a 730E – which I haven’t used in probably 6-7 years, was pulled out of storage and put into commission on Wednesday for our ladies sew day. And boy, did she act crazy! The test run at home was perfect, but she started skipping stitches and just giving me fits, so yesterday I took her in for a good service and cleaning. And well, the family thing is still ongoing, but hopefully everything will be better after a procedure this week for my son-in-law. It was crazy, but I did get a bit done.
For the week of 2/27 – 3/5/23:
- Work on Rounds 5 and 6 of SAHRR. ✔ DONE! I had fun with this and look forward to playing with some free motion quilting and ruler work in the near future!

- Give Miss M her quilt Monday afternoon. ✔ DONE! Though, due to my SIL’s ER visit and being so sick this week, it didn’t get picked up until Saturday, but she loved it! Our daughter took her and her brothers to play tennis and stopped by afterwards. Of course, Chloe had to photo bomb the picture!! I think she wasn’t sure where the boys went behind the quilt holding it up!

- Work on March Island Batik project. ✔ DONE! You’ll see it soon! Give Miss M her quilt Monday afternoon.
- Whatever suits my fancy! ✘ No time to play this week!
For the week of 3/6/23 – 3/12/23:
- Continue work on March Island Batik project.
- Help out with the kiddos when my SIL has his procedure Wednesday.
- I’m not sure I’ll have time to do much else, but if I do, whatever suits my fancy!
Let’s take a look at the link ups from last week.

Now it’s time for you to share!
I hope you all have a fantastic week! Thanks for stopping by. I will be linking up with my favorite linky parties found in the side bar! ⇒ Until next time…

Love the gift quilt and photo!!! She looks so happy!
Thank you, Nancy! She was very pleased with it!!
I enjoyed seeing your lineup (esp the churn dashes–I seem to be into those lately!). That’s a lot of projects going!
Thank you, Cheree! There are so many great link ups, it’s too hard for me to just single out a few! LOL
I hope this week is a lot less eventful for you, Brenda but very productive and I hope all is well. Family emergencies certainly can put us on our toes. I love your SAHRR quilt and Miss M. looks over the moon with her quilt. How sweet. Have a great week Hugs.
Thank you, Melisa! It was productive despite the emergency and extra GiGi Taxi duties! LOL I’m sure it will be a busy week, but hopefully things will get better after his consult on Wednesday. It would be great if they could just take care of it in the office and not have to go to the hospital. Praying that’s what will happen and he will be on the mend. My sweet Tiny Dancer really loved her quilt. We got her a fidget pen as well and she loved it too! Have a great week, Melisa!
Hi Brenda! Thanks for the linky party – I’m thrilled to be joining in again. I’m sorry about the family issue and I hope it is resolved easily and quickly. I love how your SAHRR has turned out – LOVE the pinwheel addition. It’s a happy-looking quilt, I think. Your Tiny Dancer looks so pretty and grown up. It’s so nice that you got this finished for her. Happy Monday and good luck with this week’s list. Especially the do whatever you want! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Thank you so much, Roseanne! It is my pleasure to host, though I’m beginning to think it might conflict with Carol’s To-Do, so we’ll see how it goes! Thanks so much, I do really like my SAHRR. And yes, my Tiny Dancer is so grown up. Eleven years ago when she started dance at age 3, she really was a tiny little dancer! They grow up so quickly!
A busy week of real life – a little fun, a little not-so-fun. I hope this week goes well for procedure, and your Bernina isn’t being a spoiled brat. LOL
Thank you, Susan. I hope your week goes well. You know, those ‘Ninas can be divas at times! LOL But I do love them!
It must have been the week for family stuff – hope your SIL does well and heals quickly. What a beautiful quilt for a beautiful Miss M! Lol on Chloe’s photo bomb. 🙂
Thank you so much, Linda. Yes, I’ve heard from others it was a week for them too! Was there a full moon last week? I never believed that it could affect things so much until I worked my first nursing job! We lost more patients and had more problems during a full moon…it was crazy!! I hope your week was better! Looks like we may have another one this week after his consult Wednesday. Hopefully they can take care of the problem in the office and he won’t have to go to the hospital.
Brenda I’m so sorry to hear you, too, are having a week. Your poor SIL! At least you were able to give Miss M her quilt and your very grown up little looks ever so pleased with her Tiny Dancer. Hope you get some fun in and have good news on Wednesday. Thank you in advance for linking with TDT and especially thank you for Monday Musings. ?
Yes, here’s to us both having a better one as it goes on, Carol! M was definitely pleased with her quilt and yes, she is very grown up! She amazes and inspires me doing all she does with having the physical pain and swelling of CRMO. She never gives up…just keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny! ?
What a great quilt for Miss M. She looks quite pleased with it. Hum Chloe does look like she’s trying to get behind it1
Thank you, Bonnie! I think she was very pleased! Chloe loves when her “babies” come to visit!
We had one, too, last week! Hope all are well on their way to recovery. Love seeing Miss M and her quilt!
Thank you so much, Kathleen! And yes, we hope Wednesday’s procedure will do the trick and he can get back to life!!
Oh those pesky family emergencies!!! I sure hope everything works out and they heal up fast!!!
Your SAHRR is AH!! Mazing!!!! Can’t wait to see the quilting you will do onit!!!!
and Miss M – I bet she just LOVES her quilt!!! Go yoU!!!
Take care this week!!!
Alycia, thank you so much! Seeing that smile on M’s face definitely made this all worthwhile! It’s very heavy and almost like a weighted blanket! Reminds me of growing up sleeping under three of my Granny’s quilts in the winter. I couldn’t move but I felt safe and warm! Have a great week!
