Here’s just a quick post to let you all know that a great thing happened for me! One of my quilts was juried into our county art council’s art show, the 2023 Robin Nance Metz Art Competition! I have been so excited. The exhibit opened on January 19th and just closed March 9th! Mine was the only medium sized quilt to be juried in. There were a few other small art quilts and one of those won the fiber arts division. My quilt photo is above and here are some of the other juried pieces. All types of art were included in this competition.
Retro Dynamic Dresdens was my first challenge as an Island Batik ambassador in January of 2022. I was given the Precious Pinks collection, which are always available for this challenge and used Island Batik solid black for the background.
To say I was extremely honored to be juried into this show with these amazing artists is putting it mildly! It was a fantastic exhibit. I hope you enjoyed seeing the drawings, paintings, photography, sculpture, print making, fine art crafts, digital art, and fiber arts! And I hope you all have a great week!
Hi Brenda! How exciting to see your piece hanging along with all the other great works. It is a gorgeous finish! Those pinks – they had to have spoken to you while you were creating this. Fabulous job. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Your quilt is beautiful! Great to have it to be seen on entry to the exhibit.
Hi Brenda, Congratulations on the prestigious honor of having your quilt chosen to be displayed at the Robin Nance Art Competition!
