Hello everyone! I wanted to wish you a quick happy National Quilting Day and introduce you to a great charitable event that is hosted each year by my friend Sarah of Confessions of a Scrap Addict. Sarah is a wonderful person and a prolific quilter who is always doing something to help others. She hosts this event every year. She also hosts Whoop Whoop Fridays each week so we can get our happy Whoop Whoop on and share what projects we have finished or are working on.

“What does love look like?
It has the hands to help others.
It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy.
It has eyes to see misery and want.
It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men.
That is what love looks like.”
The quote above is from Sarah’a blog post.
In the eight years since it’s inception, this challenge has provided quilts of warmth and comfort to 1450 people. That’s an impressive number to me. Read all about it here and sign up YOUR hands2help! There are prizes along the way – even for signing up by end of day today, March 16th. You have until May 31st to mail your completed quilt to the charity of your choice. There are instructions and sizes on this blog post for each charity, which include, North Carolina Hurricane Project, Quilty Hugs for Happy Chemo, Victoria’s Quilts Canada, Merciful Quilts, and Jack’s Basket. You can also check her blog for some free patterns you can use to create your comfort quilts.
Is there a better way to celebrate National Quilting Day? I think not! Show your quilty love and sign up your “hands2help” today!!

Thanks for the shout-out, Brenda!
