Monday motivation? Nope, haven’t heard of it. But my coffee mug is pretty inspiring. 🤷☕️
Happy Monday morning everyone!! Welcome to Monday Musings. Unfortunately, in our area, we still haven’t had any rain or heat relief. Fall begins tomorrow, so where is it?? So ready for some cooler weather and hopefully a little rain. What have you guys been up to this week?
It was a fun week for the grands – homecoming week at our high school. Here are a few photos I’ll share with you!
I’ll catch you up on the happenings in my studio and then please share what is going on in your world! Thanks for being here! Now, let’s move on to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 9/14/26- 9/20/26:
- Guild meeting today. DONE!! We had a great speaker who did a trunk show of antique quilts she has collected through the years.
- Continue working on Bonnie. DONE!! She is a finish!! Another beauty IMHO!!
- Continue working on Stitcher’s Suitcase. DONE!! She is a finish too! You can read all about her HERE and see the back and inside pockets.
- Cut out Marigold Mystery blocks for September. DONE!! I did not take a photo but will share these blocks next week.
- Whatever suits my fancy!! DONE!! This is homecoming week at our high school. Miss M needed help trimming fabric for a toga for Friday’s dress up day. Unfortunately she did not get to dress up each day this week because she had strep and was out Monday and Tuesday. But she did enjoy the three days she was able to attend.
Plans for the week of 9/21- 9/27/26:
- Make background for the last Highland Heifers block which features a Mama and baby! All the other backgrounds have been a solid piece. I really like this one and will be fun to make.
- Make Marigold Mystery blocks.
- Tuesday is QOV sew day for the guild and we are planning to attend.
- Wednesday may or may not be sew day with friends. It will depend on what time the director has to leave for her MD appointment.
- Whatever cranks my tractor!

Love these pictures of your grandchildren. Is HOCO homecomming? Why in these dresses? Kt look like a special event at school? Wow, the boys look great! Sure the princess too. But what I like is the humor… her two body guards! Super great!! Much energy for the upcoming week! Cows are lovely, in the mountain area they now come down to their indoor homes. This is a special day when they are guided down with big bells and crowns of flowers. Big spectacle in the alps south of Germany and Austria. So, your cows are stars!
Thank you for the highlight! There’s been very little sewing here this week, I’m sad to say. Maybe next week will be better. Fun to see your grands and all your finishes!

Strep really has been going around. I’m glad your granddaughter was feeling well enough to participate in at least 3 of the days. Your Bonnie block is delightful and congratulations again on the beautiful stitcher’s case finish. I hope you have a wonderful week!
