Our church is planning a mission trip to Haiti this summer, and since I am unable to go with them, my goal is to make a quilt to raffle to raise money for the mission. Today I gathered fabrics (Island Batiks 10″ squares and a Hoffman Bali Pops jelly roll by Hoffman Fabrics. These colors seem to play nicely together, so we will see what comes of the combination!! It’s SEW hard to cut up this beautiful fabric, but it’s been saved for such a time as this!!
This weekend I will finalize my quilt pattern for this challenge and Monday will get started cutting! I’ll have a few days before my quilting buddies Jean and Marsha and I head over to Atlanta Friday and Saturday to the Original Sewing and Quilting Expo for a fun girl trip with lots of shopping, laughing, and, oh yeah, good food!! We always have a good time together.
So, here is my goal. I will keep you posted on how it’s coming along! If you’re in the Atlanta area and are attending the show, let me know and maybe we can meet up.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you are working on!
