Welcome to my day to celebrate Jennifer Thomas of Curlicue Designs’ signature collection, Songbird, designed by Jerry Khiev for Island Batik! This is a beautiful collection, with birds, flowers, and swirly vines, and the colors are wonderful. I hope you have visited the other bloggers this week to see what they have designed with this collection. Stay tuned for the giveaway info from Jennifer. But now, I will share my project with you!

This is the Island Batik catalog quilt made with these beautiful fabrics, and a new pattern I designed for this collection, Dancing Shadows, which can be purchased HERE as a download. Click the photo to be able to see the entire quilt. It is precut friendly. I used a 2-1/2″ strip pack for this quilt, along with some yardage.
I quilted this one using my ProStitcher with a beautiful motif by Karlee Porter called Sitara Marble.

Hi Brenda, what a lovely quilt. I love the slight shadow box effect. It’s very effective 🙂
Great way to feature those pretty fabrics, Brenda! Cool quilting design you used, too!
So pretty! Love your quilt!
it is BEAUTIFUL!! and a whole fabric line – named after you!! or at least that is my story.
Great quilt!!
Beautiful quilt Brenda! The quilt shows off the fabrics so well. I love the design. Thank you for sharing today.
That is a great design and looks so pretty in those fabrics. The borders around the rail fence blocks really dress them up.
You showcased those prints in your quilt so wonderfully. Love how warm and cozy it feels. A beautiful name too.

Beautiful quilt Brenda! Looks like a fun quilt pattern.
Nice seeing how the fabric collection is used in different patterns throughout the hop.
Dancing Shadows makes me think of stacked books on a bookshelf. Congratulations on the release (and check the link to your pattern, it currently isn’t linking to the pattern)!!
