Under the Needle…or Not?!

Just a quick post to let you know what I’m working on this week! I have several projects in the making. There are several blog hops I’ll be participating in beginning in September and on through the end of the year. They are listed in the side bar on the right of this post. The first up is It’s a Garden Party Row Along hosted by Marian of Seams to be Sew! This is the sixth year of Marian’s Row Along and has a new theme each year. Then the Hello Fall Blog Hop hosted by Carla of Creatin’ in the Sticks. Next is the Halloween Hoppers Blog Hop, hosted by Seams to be Sew. And finally (at least for now!) there is the From the Heart Blog Hop hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt. Carol usually also hosts the Virtual Cookie Exchange in December, but no word on that one as of this writing. So, a fun time for fall hops.

My weekly projects are going to be limited this week as I will be helping my daughter (who will be at school) with online learning for my grands. It should be an interesting week, indeed…not to mention, a busy one!! We will see how this to-do list goes!

  1. Get all applique pieces for the Garden Party Row Along prepped and ready to fuse.
  2. Maybe get the appliques on the block and a flimsy ready to quilt??
  3. Decide what project to make for the Hello Fall Blog Hop.
  4. Dig through stash to see what fabrics I can use for Hello Fall Blog Hop.

I think that will keep me busy, in addition to playing teacher/facilitator for the boys who are in third grade and the baby girl who starts 6th!! Wow, how did they get so old so quickly?!

If there is time (really, what is that??) I hope to prep the appliques for Block 7 of Sunshine Cove. It’s another beautiful block that I really look forward to making!! Yes, I skipped 5 and 6, but will get back to them soon! Supposedly, online school will only be for the first four weeks of the year…but we will see.

Well, there’s a little eye candy for you! I just love that porch. I guess because I’m a country girl and always loved sitting on the porch. I still enjoy sitting on the porch now, drinking coffee and enjoying the wildlife!! Gotta go for now, but I’ll be linking up with To-Do Tuesday, over at Home Sewn by Us! Until next time…

I answer all comments via email. Please spread the love about my blog!

Hi Brenda! I love that front porch, too. I love to decorate it for the holidays, and it is handy to have for handing out candy on Halloween. You really have a lot on your plate with the upcoming hops – they keep you hopping, so to speak. But not as much as the grands will keep you hopping and popping. I hope it goes well. {{Hugs}} I’ll be thinking of you. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Brenda, I love your house block! My grandparents had a big house with a huge porch that ran the length of the house and my sisters and I loved to sit in the swing that hung from the porch roof of the enclosed screen porch.

Have fun playing teacher for the first weeks of school.
