Week One Update!

by | Mar 8, 2018 | 0 comments

Well, this week is a short one because a friend and I are heading over to Atlanta tomorrow and Saturday for the Orignial Sewing and Quilt Expo! GIRL TRIP!! Another friend was supposed to go with us, but is having some health issues, so she won’t be able to join the fun. That makes me sad. I guess we will just have to spend enough for her too! LOL

My goal this week was to finalize my pattern for the Haiti mission quilt and get it cut out. Well, as it turns out, I needed more fabric! Imagine that!! So, I ordered what I needed and it will be here next week. However, I did get the squares I needed cut from my 10 inch squares of Island Batik fabrics. It was so hard to actually cut up that beautiful fabric – but cut I did! Well, let me just say I assisted the AccuQuilt Go Big! by stacking and sending it through. I just love this machine!

So, the formula is: Take one AccuQuilt Go cutter, one 6-1/2 inch die and mat, a stack of 10 inch squares, and 30 minutes later you have 98 6-1/2 inch squares! Very painless!!

So there’s my progress for week one. Hope to have the rest of the yardage ordered cut by next Friday. I do have two quilts to longarm for a customer. I’ll share more on that later!

OK, we are off to Atlanta in the morning! Have a great weekend, and as always…

Have a day blessed with perfect stitches!

Brenda
