I received a beautiful collection of fabrics called Chantilly for this blog hop. These fabrics are definitely in my wheel house with all the gorgeous purples, greens, blues, and pinks! I also received two foundation fabrics, Tea Rose and Boysenberry, which are available year round. This collection is special to me because it is a signature collection by Kathy Engle, for my dear friend Karen Overton, The Quilt Rambler. Chantilly is part of the Fall and Winter 2021 line, and is shipping to your favorite quilt shop now!

All twenty fabrics in this line were used, as well as Tea Rose and Island Batik white solid as the background fabric in the blocks. Binding is done with Boysenberry.
For four of the rows, I used the AccuQuilt GO Big and the 8″ Qube and Companion Sets. I followed the block patterns in Eleanor Burns’ new book, GO! Outside the Box Pattern Book. For one row I used a BOB (block on board), Weathervane.

Pieces cut and ready to stitch!! It is such a pleasure to work with Island Batik fabrics. Here is my row by row quilt. I’m not sure what I will name it just yet.

Please excuse the picture. It’s misting and windy here. And though it doesn’t look square, it really is when I bring the bottom to the top and side to side! Row 1 is Guiding Star, row 2 is Weathervane, row 3 is Friendship Block, row 4 is Signature Block and row five is Grandma’s Star.
All piecing was done with Aurifil thread, using a Schmetz 80/20 needle. The batting I chose was Hobbs Polyester. Thank you Island Batik, Aurifil, Schmetz Needles, and Hobbs for providing me with the fabric, thread, needles, and batting! You can click the logos below and learn more about them on their website.

I’m so happy you hung around to the end. Island Batik has the best giveaways, so head over to the Island Batik blog to enter and also check out all the links for this week’s bloggers, if you missed them in my post from Monday! Hurry, this giveaway ends February, 4 at 11:59 pm PST.

This has been so much fun! Please visit my fellow ambassador, Maryellen McAuliffe, of Mary Mack Made Mine to check out her row by row challenge using Chantilly!
I love how your quilting matches the floral patchwork. Beautiful finish, Brenda. I have the Chantilly 10″ squares and I am looking forward to working with these gorgeous fabrics.
