For the past five years Gail of Quilting Gail, has hosted a SAHRR. So what IS a SAHRR, you ask? SAHRR is the acronym for Stay At Home Round Robin! Round robins are a common activity in many quilt guilds. A round robin (in quilting terms) is where each person makes a center block. This block is put in a bag or container, maybe with extra fabric, perhaps with a notebook, and the bag is passed onto another quilter in the group. They are given instructions as to what kind of border (or round) they are to add on to the quilt. Sometimes the next person will make a border for each side, or one side or two sides of the block. It’s then passed on to another quilter and it continues on. When the quilt center and all the borders are completed, it is returned to the original maker of the center block. During covid, Gail came up with the fabulous idea of a round robin where you never leave your home, and neither does your quilt!!
You stay home and so does your quilt!!
This year, I will be participating in the fun with Gail and the other ladies in providing prompts for each round.
How do I join?
You don’t have to join or sign up on a list. You simply follow each of our blogs for the prompt. You can follow my blog by completing the form under my photo in the side bar or the popup form. That way, all my posts will be sent directly to your inbox.
How will the SAHRR work?
(From Gail) On January 13, we will show you our center blocks. Everyone’s will be a surprise!
Then on January 20 (and each Monday following) we will give you instructions as to what the next border/round is to be. Again, we will all show you our center blocks with the first border to give you some ideas.
Here are my blogging co-hosts in the order of what we will be doing and the linky parties we will be hosting each week. (There will only be one linky party each week … and we’ll direct you to it …)
We have some wonderful sponsors again this year who will offer prizes!! More information on those later. Just know that every time you link up is an opportunity to win. If you link up three times, you have three chances, four – four chances, etc. Gail has a FAQ section for you to check out on her post HERE.

Relax … this is easy … and it’s only one round each week!
I’ve participated with Gail the past three years and here are my quilts from 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Please be sure and check out Gail’s announcement post HERE for other details and information. We do hope you will join in the fun. Remember, it’s just one round per week! Until next time…

This sounds like so much fun, Brenda. I have always wanted to participate, but with my travels I am not sure if I could keep up. Hmm I will have to think on it. Either way , I sure will enjoy watching your and all of the participants. Happy quilting. Hugs.
Fun to see your 3 quilts side-by-side, Brenda!!!
