Hi Friends! I hope things are just peachy in your “neck of the woods” as my granny used to say! I’m back today with a short update on my RSC21 color challenge block that I got finished up yesterday! I started this when I was teaching my sweet granddaughter how to make a crazy quilt block and she went on to create a pillow sham of hers.

She had so much fun! And so did I. I had to put mine aside to catch up with my secret sewing for the release of Vincent’s Garden Blog Hop. Yesterday, after taking a few days of rest, I finished up my block for RSC21. My theme for this challenge is all about crazy quilt blocks. The color theme for February was yellow. I have a few yellow fabrics, but don’t use a lot of it. Thankfully I found enough scraps to piece my block! Without further ado, here is my February color themed block – yellow!

As much as yellow is not my favorite color, I really like the way this turned out! Now to get the fancy stitches on it (and the pink block!) Are you working on any color challenges this year?
Hi Brenda! Your granddaughter is so cute and she did such a nice job on her pillow sham! Isn’t it just the BEST spending time together, having fun yet learning, too?! It sounds like her sham would fit within the boundaries for Project 12.5 with crazy quilting this week. Now you can move away from yellow that’s not your favorite to green! Perfect selection for March, I think. ~smile~ Roseanne
I love YELLOW. Both your granddaughter’s and your block are lovely! Maybe I have forgotten, but what is your plan for these blocks? Will you do crazy quilting by hand or use the fun machine stitches?
Your granddaughter’s crazy quilt block is fantastic and I love the fabric that was used. It looks like she is going to be taking after you in quilt making. Your quilt block is lovely and I really like the colors that you used. Have a great weekend!
Really pretty. Have fun with the handwork.
