In February, I introduced you to the latest add-on for Electric Quilt – the Kaleidoscope Two Collection! I received this collection from Electric Quilt and in return was to blog about the new collection in February and to sew and post a block from the collection on March 15-16th, celebrating National Quilting Month.
This new product was introduced on February 12th. If you love kaleidoscope blocks and paper piecing, you will love this new add-on. It is filled with 500+ new kaleidoscope blocks from which to choose.
EQ8 add-ons are easily installed as are their free monthly fabric collections. If you haven’t taken advantage of those collections, click HERE and see what’s available to download.
This is the block I chose.

I pulled in some gorgeous fabrics from a new Island Batik collection, Just Dandy, by Kate Colleran Designs for Island Batik, and recolored the block. I also used the Island Batik blender, Cornsilk. That is another thing I love about EQ!! I can see exactly how my quilt will look using my chosen fabrics.

And here is my sewn block.

If you enjoy paper piecing, Electric Quilt also has Quilter’s Newsprint – non-smear, newsprint-type papers that feed easily through any inkjet or laser printer. They can be located HERE.
You can check out my review of this product in my original post HERE.
I have linked up with Sew and Tell on the DoYouEQ Blog. Click the link and check out all the entries. They are hosting a giveaway also. All the information can be found on the blog post, so head over to the EQ website and check it out.

Oh wow, that is stunning!! Love the colors and fabric you used! Thanks for sharing at Monday This and That! I’ll be featuring your post today! xx
Kaleidoscope is gorgeous, Brenda. I certainly did not know you could see how your quilt block will look in fabric beforehand- how nifty! Happy piecing. Hugs.
Beautiful block! EQ looks like a tool that one could play with for hours.
Love the colors in this! It is fun to see all the different choices we made!
Love the kaleidoscope blocks! How do you get EQ to show your chosen fabric? I am amazed at how clever that program must be.
Those Kaleidoscope blocks all look wonderful. I love how yours looks in fabric. I don’t have any electric quilt stuff, but I bet it is fun to play on it to come up with designs. I don’t like paper piecing at all either.
