Wake up and smell the motivation…or just the coffee ☕️👃

Happy Monday morning!!! Welcome to Monday Musings! I guess it’s been a kinda sorta week here on the hill. I went a got a big hair cut on Thursday and some color. I was there for six hours…no really six hours. My hair has always lifted quickly and easily but it took forever Thursday. Her house was SOOOO cold I had to wrap up in a blanket while she did my hair! We discussed that it could be the stem cell activating patches I’ve been using. She thinks they are trying to get my hair back to it’s normal color, which is a reddish blond, so who knows?? Can’t think of anything else. So, Thursday was a bust as far as doing anything. Then Saturday I got really sick. I don’t know if it was from the coldness or just one of those days. How was your week? On to the good stuff!!
Here’s how my story ended for the week of 3/3 – 3/9/25:
- Finish March IB project. DONE!! Ready to go on the frame to quilt. I actually changed plans on my March project so it took a bit longer than I anticipated, but it’s ready to quilt!
- Finish paper (less) piecing block. NOPE!!
- Clean Sally! NOPE!!
- Put away the dies and sweep the studio. NOPE!!
- Whatever cranks my tractor!! Well…you read above how my week went!

Hi Brenda, I really hope that you feel better soon! Take care and thank goodness for coffee 🙂
I do hope you are feeling better , Brenda. The flu has been going around in our area. I hope that you do not come down with it. Sending warm healing wishes. Hugs.
I hope that you’re feeling better by now; no fun to be sick. Have a great week!
I always feel like a chill can bring on something. I hope you love your new hair and are feeling better!!!
I hope you are feeling better Brenda, getting chilled is terrible. How much hair did you cut off? I gave up on coloring my hair and just let it go white. It is still always a shock when I look in the mirror LOL!
Aww Bummer about the sick.. hope it goes away fast. Tell me about those patches???
Sorry to hear about your cold. My friends house is always cold and I told her, that it is nicer to meet anywhere else. Of this i s your haircutters house and the procedure took that long, you may have to rethink if it is what you like. Is the cut and colour the way you like? This is important. The cold will go away quickly, I am sure. I never would be able to sit on a haircutters chair that long.. only on my sewing chair… lol. Start well and hope your cold is away soon! Time is running to finish the SAHRR this year and I am so much late behind.
It was likely the house being cold slowing down the lift. Sorry to hear you weren’t well and hope it’s passed. Thank you for the linky.
Sorry you got sick! Yes being cold certainly can lower our immune system, at least that’s what Mom used to say. 😉 How much did you get cut off? My hair got so hard to highlight that it took a stronger solution to bleach it. Plus I had surgeries, so my nice long hair got brittle, and I had to get it all cut. I miss it sooooo much! Hope the rest of your week is great!
Aha! 93% of your personality is coffee-based, that accounts for the fact that you are so rich and smooth! Hope you feel better soon. Healing wishes.
