Now that we’ve added all our rounds, and hopefully gotten our flimsies quilted, it’s time for a PARADE!! And not just any parade, it’s the Stay at Home Round Robin Parade. Today’s parade is hosted by Kathleen of Kathleen McMusing.
I have really enjoyed seeing everyone’s quilt come to life following and interpreting the prompts the co-hosts have given. It has been SEW much fun!! Our quilting community certainly has an abundance of wonderfully talented quilters! In case you missed a clue, and still would like to make a quilt, you can find the prompts for each round on the co-hosts blogs!

I really love how this year’s SAHRR turned out. In the beginning, I honestly had NO clue how I would add the rounds each co-host had provided. First I decided on the center block and I knew what my round would be. Finally inspiration struck and I just kept going! It’s great when a plan comes together! LOL
Now without further ado, here is my completed SAHRR 2026. I had a lot of fun playing with ruler work and free motion quilting on this one. It took a few days to complete but I am please with the end product!
I used Quilter’s Dream 80/20 batting, which I think gave the quilting nice definition. It was pieced with Aurifil 50 wt thread and a Schmetz 80/12 needle, which are my go-to products for piecing quilts. These fabrics are from various Island Batik collections and a few different neutral backgrounds. I love how Island Batik fabrics all play so well together!
There will be PRIZES!!
We reached out to several companies that we all LOVE and many of them agreed to sponsor the SAHRR 2026!!! We will keep track of all of the participants that link to our Linky parties each week. We will make a list and use a random number generator to choose the winners for each prize! So, if you link up to 3 Linky parties, you will have 3 opportunities to win! If you don’t have a blog or Instagram account, contact me, or one of the other co-hosts and we will post your SAHRR on our blog. This way you still have an opportunity to win! Here are some of the prizes you could win!
- Lumin Fabrics (Island Batik) – 3 Fat Quarter Bundles: Playful Posies, Geometric Symphony and Paradise Palms
- Hobbs Batting: wool batt
- Sew Fresh Quilts: 3 patterns

The co-hosts will get together via zoom in a short time and prize winners will be chosen via a random number generator. We will let the winners know via email as well as announced in a blog post. I’m so grateful to have been able to participate with the other co-hosts in making this year’s SAHRR. Thank you ladies, it’s been a fun challenge!! I’m linking up with Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing, for the fantastic SAHRR Parade! See you there!! Until next time…

Your quilt is gorgeous Brenda; I especially love the quilting you did on it. Isn’t it just the best boost to your creativity when you start out with NO clue and end up with such a beauty! I love the surprise and excitement that brings.
Wowzers!! what a great quilt = I love all the movement – and the quilting!! complements it perfectly!
Brenda, great motion, color! And I love the pieced border!!!
This is a wonderful finish. I love the way you get your colourful fabrics to pop against the white and your quilting is great 🙂
Brenda, sorry for commenting late. First, thanks to all hosts! This was again a fun SAHRR and for me your quilting is stunning! Love more and more to work with batiks as well. You played with the tasks this time and I am thinking how to play as well next year instead of going round by round. There are a lot of inspiration at the parade! Lovely April and enjoy spring time! Eva
It is very reassuring to hear that you didn’t know how your quilt would come together at the beginning, too! As you said, you can’t really go wrong with the Island Batiks fabrics, they all blend together beautifully, and I really like the dark frame you created. Thank you so much for hosting the SAHRR!!
I’m delighted to get to come back and admire your quilt and beautiful quilting again. Thanks for linking up with Favorite Finish!
What a beautiful quilt you made, Brenda. I love the quilting you did on it – themix of curved lines and straight lines works so well with your quilt. Congrats on finishing another beauty and another successful SAHRR!
Thank you so much for hosting/co-hosting the SAHRR 2026 this year. It was my first year and I had a great time. Okay, some weeks were like *what?* but encouraged by the hosts’ examples, it helped spur us all onward.
Your quilt turned out beautifully, with the FMQ/ruler work filling the blank spaces and that perfect outer border. Really, it’s just lovely!
I love how you bordered/framed that beautiful center block, and your quilting looks magnificent! Thank you for being a hostess.
There’s a lot to like about this quilt. To me the center block is the star of the show.
What a great quilt and a great final border!
Your quilt turned out so well, Brenda! It’s so fun to see the quilt grow, and how the quilting brings it all together! What a fun sew along this year!
Your quilt is very pretty! Will you be keeping this quilt for yourself or a special person or is it going to be a compassion quilt? Happy stitching!
Wow Brenda, your quilt really came alive with the quilting and I love the border! Stunning quilt!
