Mini Chiffon Quilt Along

by | Oct 21, 2021 | 4 comments

Welcome to the Mini Chiffon Quilt Along by Fat Quarater Shop!! I am so happy to be sharing this little quilt with you! I had a lot of fun piecing and quilting it!!

For my Mini Chiffon, I chose four Solana Mini Charm packs and Bella Super White Silky solids for the background. For the binding I chose Solana Sprout Lady Bug yardage!! This line is really cute!! Unfortunately, they are out of the mini charm packs, but still have some yardage here.

The pattern is quick and easy and stitched up in no time at all. A neighbor was kind enough to allow me to photo my quilts using her barn setting, and I really appreciate it!!

I had as much fun quilting this as I did piecing it!! Since the Solana line was full of lady bugs, which I love, chose an edge to edge pattern by My Creative Stitches. They have some really cute edge to edge designs and I’ve never had a problem with any of them. Here is a close up of the corner of the quilt. I think you can see it pretty well in the pictures above also. I used a variegated thread that picked up all the colors in the quilt!

You can pick up this free pattern here at Fat Quarter Shop, and while you are there do a little shopping!! They have great sales on fabric, notions and books! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend!!

See you soon!

Hi Brenda! I had to show your quilt to Dominic. He’s afraid of ladybugs for some unknown reason. I called him over and told him about you and your new quilt. He said, “ahhhh” when I mentioned a ladybug. I assured him that they weren’t scary and that they were actually good luck. By the end of our talk enjoying your piece, he was talking about ladybugs as a good thing! So thank you for your lovely quilt and sharing the wonderful quilting details with us. You have two big fans here! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
